I dyed my hair black (permanent), and applied it on my ears, all around my hair line and neck. Not one stain was found after I rinsed.

I use henna to dye my hair and have been doing so for several years. That being said, I've either used vaseline or cold cream along my hairline to prevent staining and it doesn't always work if I don't apply thickly enough. There is always a bit of staining left when I've rinsed the henna out of my hair. This barrier cream is actually a gel-like consistency, has a light but pleasant fragrance and it's almost like a barrier "glue" rather than a cream. It's slightly tacky when dry and it does actually help prevent a lot of staining from the henna. After I rinse the henna dye from my hair, I'll use the wipes from this brand and there is barely any staining left over on my hairline. The gel is easier/smoother to apply as well.

It does it's job perfectly.

Use this as barrier cream when coloring hair and this really prevents staining. Not too oily, good consistency, doesn’t go where you don’t want it too, and doesn’t clog pores.
