Great item after watching others do this I decided to get my self one to go out with the boy great idea and powerful.

I have to say I'm impressed by the magnet, I have long watched social media videos of people magnet fishing and been curious as to what might be found in my own local lakes and rivers.I used the threadlock that was included and did so leaving it overnight as recommended before using.And so far after probably at least 100 throws, nothing has come loose.The rope is plenty long enough, the magnet is heavy, if I had more rope I would struggle to throw the distance to use it all, so the amount you get is perfect.The gloves are a nice idea, but and non-rubber material will get wet so whilst they grip well, you still get wet hands. I've bought some basic kitchen/washing up gloves and wear those over the top of normal winter gloves, keeps you warm and dry especially with the longer length glove over your wrist.The magnet itself, is impressive, I've read so many review of so many magnets before choosing this one and it was research time well invested. Its strong, the metal bar and pipe section in those photos were heavy, I was amazed that the magnet hauled them in, especially the bar when there is such a narrow contact point, and even more so a pipe that was full of water for added weight and resistance. When you feel it grab something heavy, you do pull it in gently like playing a real fish, you don't want to lose it.We also found both halves of a broken pair of pliers some screws, bolts, penny, so...from big to small, it collected them all.

Its ok for a starter. Although I used it for the first time. It couldn't pull a child's bike out the river. May need something bigger and stronger. Best find today with this magnet was a nice bracelet.

Not used it yet, but it has been thought about and its a full kit that should work great, I'm not sure if I got a powerful enough magnet or if it would or should have rope connected to both eyes of the magnet to give a better hold on anything metal that it sticks to, only saying because if you have rope from both sides and they are both taught! Logic says to me it will be less prone to sliding off the metal when you pull it in? Is that what you're meant to do, does it sound right if it's not what you do, when it's flat on metal and pulling from facing the flat magnet and surface it is solid, but from the side the hold drops dramatically, I don't think it would make much difference if the magnet strength was double if you try to pull it in, just a thought if anyone has any wisdom

Bought as gift for teenage grandson, magnet didnt sem as strong as thought and after using in local river the clip that attaches to magnet has gone rusty, this should of been stainless. Only time will tell if this was a useful gift or not for a newly qualified diver.

Excellent fast service

I had high hopes of this being exactly as advertised, guess my hopes were too high.Firstly the magnet is absolutely not as strong as is advertised, the first thing that had a little weight it couldn't lift, manage to grab it myself, it was one of those little metal shopping baskets, and not very heavy, next the rope is starting to fray already after an hours use, so don't think it will hold out much longer as it is like that after hardly any weight lifted whatsoever.Overall very disappointed that his kit, didn't live up to my expectations or manage to grab hold off anything, never mind lift it, I shall be trying to return it under the fact it is not as described as there is no way on earth this is a N52 magnet that could lift 400kg, not a chance.Save your money and look elsewhere, as this is not fit for purpose, if not you will be disappointed, I can guarantee it.

Wanted an excuse to get a fishing magnet and a client lost thier keys in the canal. So as an alternative to changing the locks some of which need to picked open to remove I thought I'd give this a go. Set myself a limit of 20 mins to find them. Yay! success after 15 mins while my coffee cooled. Everything included for the task at hand, stud lock was a good inclusion so as not to lose the magnet. Same day delivery too. Useful tool and great fun when out by waterways.
