Red Kap Men's Slash Pocket Jacket

Love this jacket, at 5'11"/260lbs the XXXL fits very comfortably over XXL clothing, not tight or baggy, just right, when purchased "on sale" it's a great Eisenhower style jacket, my 3rd Red Kap purchase, best gear for working Americans. BTW, Amazon depiction of brown color option is incorrect, not milk chocolate or UPS brown. Red Kap brown is dark like dark chocolate or fresh ground coffee beans, very pleasing alternative to black or blue. Check the Dickies brand dark brown, it's the same color.

I received my first jacket at my job. 7 years of being my go to jacket, it has been great spring and fall. Winter time on top of a nice hoodie and thermal shirt, you're good to go. Not overly thick but that's what I like most. It is still plenty warm and blocks wind and light rain. It is comfortable enough to become my cats favorite nap spot so I'll take her word on that. For 7 years of use, I still use it, have only had to replace 2 plastic buttons over the years, both on right sleeve which I use more, so that's understandable. Plenty of other buttons on jacket you don't really need so use one of those for the important one if it breaks. I wash it in washing machine and dry in dryer, nothing fancy just throw it in with other clothes. It is actually remarkable how well it has held up, which inspired me to order my own without the work insignia or my name sewn on. And in a color I wanted. I checked the label on my work coat, saw Red Kap, and started my Amazon search to find the right one (slash pocket jacket) I already knew a large fit me perfect (6' 0" 165lbs) and honestly the price was about 1/3 of what I expected, as it has outlasted way pricier jackets (Carhartt). Only improvement would be a zipper pocket on the inside since slash pockets have a habit of spilling my phone but I can work around that. Redd Kap has gained a faithful fan, may not buy too much since they last so long, but will recommend to anyone anytime. Heck, look at the photos, blue is 7 years old and grey is my new one. Almost no difference after A LOT of use.

Okay this is a very nice quality jacket. And plenty warm. I got the grey and it looks great. Over-all good sizing too. I am 6-0 and a bulky 285 with lots of muscle and the 2XL fits very well. I can wear it over just a t-shirt or fit a hoody under it also when it's really cold. Sizing good EXCEPT THE SLEEVES. And I don't have skinny arms. 18" biceps and 14" forearms but the sleeves are just too big around-- especially from the elbows down. Took it to a tailor to taper the sleeves from the elbow down and shorten them an inch or so. [Turns out that'll cost me $35.] That said, it's worth it b/c it's a great looking jacket with serious warmth. Also, I don't have any of the hanging threads that other reviewers are talking about. Hey Red Kap-- tighten up the sleeves a bit, add a loop inside for hanging on a hook when not in use, and you will have produced the perfect jacket!!

Gift for a very picky hubby. The jacket is well made, it fits true to size, lightweight but well insulated, nice material with good zipper.

This is a great item. The stitching on it looks very durable intended for use for a long time. It was a very good deal I thought on Amazon.

I recently purchased two jackets, one in blue and one in black. The blue jacket is acceptable, but the black one has an obvious issue: the sleeves are excessively wide and do not match the expected fit or the product description. Additionally, I am very dissatisfied with the delivery service. At the time of purchase, I was informed that the product would arrive the next day. However, I later received notifications stating that the delivery could not be completed for reasons that were unclear and unconvincing. This is not the first time a similar situation has occurred.

Jacket fit is perfect and as expected. To those reviewers claiming arms are too big—> it’s a men’s work jacket, not a piece fashion clothing. It’s made to work in so skinny arm-ed, bird chested people may want to look elsewhere. If your proportions are normal, it’ll fit just right, just follow the chart. Large fits me just right, I’m 185# and 5’-10 1/2”. I’ll probably buy another whenever I can, it’s a good deal for a quality piece of work clothing.

Husband had this jacket and it is great for him in the winter since he is a truck driver and has to get in and out of a truck. It is not bulky.
