My feet just comfortably reach the floor, my butt just reaches the back and the backrest actually provides neck support when sitting upright. When reclining the footrest supports my legs all the way out to my ankles. Some reviewers have complained that the lever is hard to work but I don't find that to be true at all. The lever action to deploy the footrest is smooth and easy. It would perhaps be hard to reach for someone who is not very tall but then this is probably not the chair for you. I had one of these recliners from Lane in my house that was lost in the Eaton fire and had to replace it for the new house. I am so happy that Stallion took up production of these chairs when Lane went out of business (?). The photo shows the Stallion chair alongside the other recliner I have for average size people. Review: NOT original LANE Furniture quality. - Not the quality of LANE making chair. I bought/owned the same recliner purchased in 2007, when LANE manufactured it. It lasted for 12 years, I lived in the recliner due to many orthopedic issues and it was a fantastic chair for comfort & quality & durability. I paid $900.00 for it from a furniture store back then and they delivered it. This chair will not last nearly as long and cost $700.00 more than in 2007. The bottom cushion already shows body forming cushion ( leg & butt imprints ), after 10 weeks. When reclining, there is an open/empty void of cushion in space between back cushion and bottom cushion- thus having an open air space that is very annoying. The one made by LANE had this space cushioned. I was going to buy a second of these chairs while I can get what I wanted to be 2007 version of chair but as I have this one and see quality/manufacturing differences, I will not order a second one.
