The New York Times bestseller from the beloved actress and Hollywood icon who's made us laugh on shows from The Mary Tyler Moore Show to Golden Girls to Saturday Night Live ! In this candid take on everything from the unglamorous reality behind red-carpet affairs to her beauty regimen (โI have no idea what color my hair is, and I never intend to find outโ), Betty White shares her observations about life, celebrity, and love (for humans and animals). Filled with photos, If You Ask Me is funny, sweet, and straight to the pointโjust like Betty. Review: Witty and Heartfelt Memoirs from Betty - Diving into this collection of Betty Whiteโs musings felt like sitting down for coffee with herโwarm, funny, and endlessly charming. She effortlessly shifts from on-set tales of The Golden Girls to reflections on aging with grace, each anecdote delivered with her trademark wit. The chapters are brisk but packed with personality, so itโs easy to pick up just a handful of pages and walk away smiling. I especially loved her behind-the-scenes stories about working alongside legends like Mary Tyler Moore; theyโre nostalgic without ever feeling overly sentimental. Bettyโs genuine affection for her animal friends shines through in every section, reminding you why she was such a devoted advocate for shelters and wildlife causes. Even the beauty-and-lifestyle tipsโdelivered with a winkโare full of the same down-to-earth humor that made her a household name. Overall, this book reads like an intimate chat with a beloved friend. Whether youโre a lifelong Golden Girls fan or just looking for a pick-me-up from one of televisionโs greatest treasures, youโll find yourself returning to these pages again and again. Review: Great book! - Great book to read!

A quick read from a grateful person who loved what she did
This is a fast read with a few neat pictures. There arenโt any major bombshells in here, thereโs just a terrific actress saying how blessed and lucky she has been to have the career she has had, and itโs as positive a book as Iโve read all year. Donโt read this expecting an autobiography. I think this would be more of an add on to one. What I really canโt get over is that she wrote this at 89! I think we would all be so lucky to be able to look back on our lives at that age and be able to say half the things that she says in this book.

Wise words and very entertaining
Betty takes the reader on a trip of life wisdom, inbeded in wonderful short stories. Her sense of humor, of course, makes this an easy and enjoyable read.

A Full Life!
Betty White is such a delightful character, a leader in comedy for tv as well as an avid animal advocate. This book is a delight from page one to the end. I was able to connect and sift through my own similar memories with tearful happiness and a longing for days gone. What I would give to live those days over again . This is a light and quick read not to be missed.

Thank you Betty
A slow read but imformative! Betty is one of the funniest ladies in the business! Did bring a lot of reminders of past shows I had enjoyed watching.

Rose Nylund from St Olav...
...disguised as Betty White Shares anecdotes and the wisdom of (back then) almost 90 years. It is a refreshing experience to read this, to laugh with this special Golden Girl, and to think about the truth behind so many of her words. I am glad I bought this book, and hope for many more to come from Betty White. Thank you, for being a writer!

Betty is a gem
Omg, where to start. I read this book in 3 days. Although I had little time. But the book is written in little parts. Every chapter is 2-4 pages with beautiful photos in between. It is such a comfort read. I am going to order all Betty's books in the nearby future. I missed a GG part in this book though. But maybe she has written about that in one of her other books. So she has been forgiven. We lost a true gem with this beautiful actress. The things she has done and seen in her life are remarkable. I am so glad she loved to write and that way she shared a part of her life behind the scenes with us.

Gift
A little disappointed. Yes a paperback, but quite a flimsy light paperback compared to what I've bought previously. I actually didn't want to give it as a gift, it felt cheap. A fantastic option to just read yourself, but not the kind of quality you'd want to gift.

Warm, humourous views from the person I view as the Anti-Trump
Reading this book is like eating a hot bowl of homemade chicken soup when you're surrounded by a rainy-day world. and I bought it as a gift for a friend in that situation as I had read it before and found it calming and uplifting and so down-to-earth. Betty White was an amazing woman and someone everyone would have liked to have known and when she writes, she gives you a piece of herself that you can hold onto. Reading her warm, humourous and sensible views puts our tilted world upright for a time. I highly recommend anything she has written.
