Preserve POPi Shave 5 Razor System Made with Recycled Ocean Plastic and 5-blade cartridge, Charcoal Grey

I love this razor. I love that I am helping clean up.the plastic in the ocean at the same time. This razor is well made and lasts awhile. It doesn't get all rusty either (the blades) either, so you don't have to replace them as much as you would other brands.

Absolutely love this razor! It came in minimal packaging, which I appreciated. The handle has more weight and is more sturdy than I expected from one made of completely recycled plastic. The head pivots well and is easy to replace, and gives a smooth shave. I also like the lubricating strip. On other disposable razors I have it's been annoying and irritated my skin, but I haven't had any problems after switching to this brand. Love it and will be ordering replacement heads!

Only complaint is: I always pop the head off. The button is big & my finger hits it often. It also doesn't have a blade cap. So the little cushion strip needs to be away from surfaces when you set it down after each use. Unless you don't mind it sticking to things. Really not that big of a deal. I love it. Just hate how expensive it is. Hopefully it lasts a long time.

Love this razor! Love that the head is bigger than most razors, makes shaving much quicker. Nice and smooth! Good for the environment, win win!

The ratings provided were for “sheerness,” “packaging,” and “thickness.” I’m not 100% sure what “sheerness” means. The packaging is fine - it’s not fancy, but it does what it needs to do with little excess. The razor itself doesn’t feel overly substantial or heavy, but it is definitely good enough. I get a close shave with this razor. I’ve been using it for a week and a half now and have not had any irritation to my skin. There is no built-in moisturizer or anything on the razor (the Shick I used to use had an almost excessive amount of-for lack of a better word-lube on the razor itself) so I invested in a good shaving cream as well. I definitely plan to keep using this razor.

I initially ordered the wrong replacement blades for our preserve recycled razors. Instead of returning the blades, I purchased the new POPi shave 5 to try the blades. My husband DID NOT like the new razor. He gave it to me and I absolutely love it!! I cuts my razing time in half. It moves so nice and smoothly across my legs. I could not believe the difference. Needless to say, I ordered some more triple blades for my husbands face. The triple blade is smaller and helps get around his close places on his beard. We are still a preserve recycled razor family.

I really wanted to live this product because of their mission, because it is a vegan product and because of the minimal packaging. Upon receiving it, I noticed the front seemed to be missing a cover piece. It is probably cosmetic but given the price, I was worried about the quality of other pieces breaking. Then I read other reviews about some of the difficulties with replacement blades and wondered if it had been previously broken and returned which has happened to me with other products. For the price, I won’t be replacing the item I am returning because I am concerned that It is not a sturdy product. I think I will be looking into bamboo or some other reusable product.

I think this is a knock off I have one that I got from a Tidal Creek health food store in WilmingtonAnd it does not have a slippery handle and is slightly bigger. The handle on mine feels more rubbery.
