Best soya mince I have tried. Soya in general is awful and it takes a lot to get my hubby to eat it. This one is cooked by me in the slow cooker with dried vegetables or fresh and lots of onion to replicate a standard mince which can be used with dumplings, in a shepherds pie or even cooked into pies/pasties. It still needs a stock cube to hide the taste of soya, or as my husband says "it tastes like the smell off melted plastic bags". Once you have flavoured it its good to go and hubby will happily eat. It stays firm in the slow cooker for hours, just don't put too much liquid in it. My son makes bolognaise by adding a jar of ready Italian sauce, and my daughter likes this with a barbeque sauce. It's never going to replace real meat for some family members but is a good sub to join in with meals when vegetarian kids are around. Very good value as a little goes a long way.

This product really looks like minced beef. However, I find that the best way of cooking it is putting it straight away in the sauce in which it will be cooked. Cook it in medium heat in sauce that is not very watery, otherwise it absorbs too much water and kind of becomes too soft, not resembling anymore to meat. The taste (cooking it in this way) is great and so is the texture. Would buy it again.

Very fast delivery so the best tvp I have tried and I've tried quite a few. I actually soak it in a quality beef stock, I think it would be difficult to tell that it wasn't minced beef, I like the texture of it. So much cheaper than beef, and for many reasons prefer this. I could not detect any adverse flavours. Some tvp taste like cardboard, or how I imagine it to taste, not this one. Excellent product in a resealable bag, recommended.

Really tasty when hydrated & flavoured with soy sauce, which gives a meaty flavour. Even loved by a non veggie son!The soy product is produced in the US, which has a very different stance on genetically modified crops to many EU countries, many of which have banned genetically modified crops over health concerns.However, the packaging does state the ingredients used by the brand are not from a genetically modified origin. Double thumbs up. Knowing this, I would purchase again.

Great product, excellent value. The flavour takes on whatever sauce you’re cooking with. Also makes great faux-chicken salad veggie style: just add boiling water, chopped veggies, mayo and salt and pepper and you have a tasty veggie sandwich filler.

Best TVP mince I’ve ever used. Still nice and chewy after 30 minutes cooking in a Chilli.Soak 1 cup of TVP with 1 cup of hot vegetable stock (I used 1 cube of el-cheapo supermarket brand) for 30 minutes or so.Yammers!

Very satisfied with this. The granules are chunky, it's tasty and the opened bag can be re-sealed and is roomy enough to drop a scoop comfortably into.
