I purchased other 'portable' blacklights that were far cheaper but completely useless. Then I decided to stop being cheap and spend a bit more (but still not much compared to other options). I own five of these flashlights and they are AMAZING relative to anything else I've ever seen. Because they are 385 Nm, they are far more effective at illuminating objects than a blacklight of 400 Nm+. Well worth the money, I am thrilled with this purchase.

Light works as advertised for pet stains on carpets. One LED did not work when it arrived, and another has since stoped working but since there are 19 more lights I have currently decided not to return it. Light body feels/appears well made with black anodized aluminum body.

This product is awful. When the flashlight was received 2 of the LED lights did not work, and after the first use, 5 more stopped working. I would not recommend buying this product.

Ordered and received two of these UV flashlights. Of the 21 LEDs 16 work on one flashlight and 14 LEDs work on the other. To say I am disappointed with the quality is an understatement. I can not recommend anyone purchase these until the build quality improves.

It was pretty good at spotting semen around the dormitory, although I must say I am a little uncomfortable using some of the toilets now. I personally thought it would be a little more reveling. Semen was about the only stain we could really see. Very few things seemed to glow with this light. I am not sure why, but it did seem like 385nm would be low enough to spot some of those things, maybe it is too low or too high in wavelength.

I travel frequently and often stay at unfamiliar hotels. I bought this to carry around with me to check out the rooms for cleanliness. When the room is darkened, Dirt and stains glow under the UV light. Gives me an idea if I want to put my bags on the floor, or if I should be concerned about walking around barefoot.I get a very good idea how well the housekeeping staff do their job.I'm not a "CSI" so am not using this for "professional" purposes. There are brighter UV lights available, and certainly more sleek/compact ones, but they are also more expensive. For what I need this for, this is an excellent item and a great value.

I got it to look for animal urine stains and for that it is useless - wavelength too close to visible light I suspect. It would be nice to know what the wavelength of the LEDs is.
