This is the budget version of the pro tongs made by Vollrath.
Vollrath makes a heavy duty, commercial grade version of this. Item number 47312. Go with this one. This current model is a little cheaper. But, for something that you're going to use a lot, throw back into a drawer for years, spend a couple of extra bucks and get the commercial version, 47312.

our favorite
We got this tong 20 years ago and loved it. I just recently realised I could order more from Amazon. The new one is so shiny and nice, but the old one still works great. These tongs are great for everything; I use it to pull jelly jars out of boiling water, for turning meet, for serving spaghetti. Even for barbecuing. Which probably explains the less shiny quality of the old tongs. And they have this really great pincher action so you can pick up tiny things, like one tiny piece of macaroni. So, good big and fine motor skills, so to speak :). I don't think they are made of a particularly conductive metal and so they don't get hot easily.

Complete and utter crap, they feel like they are made out of tinfoil, these are NOT genuine Volrath tongs, DON'T BUY
