bought this RJ45 crimping tool kit and it has been excellent for making and repairing network cables. The crimpers are great. Work well. Be careful with using the pass-through plugs. Push them through, make sure of the order, then cut and pull back slightly, so they can't contact each other and cause problems. The RJ45 wire tester works great, as long as it has strong batteries. GREAT value for the money!

The "brand" name cracks me up. But honestly this kit is VERY good. I've been making my own ethernet cables for years, but had never tried the "pass through" version until now. I saw MUCH more expensive options, but wanted to try it first before spending more money.. Well, I don't need to spend more money. This works perfectly. As I've gotten older, my eyes and hands don't work like they used to, and I found that using the traditional (non pass through) method was becoming more and more frustrating. This makes it so much easier and makes a nice professional looking cable. The included cable tester is also fantastic, considering the price for everything. It also comes with replacement blades!

Totally worthy kit, the only thing I did not like are the little stripper tool, and the rj45 connectors could have a better guide aligment inside so that the cables could slide easier through...other than that very happy with the tool, since the very first crimped connector 100% succesfullness , slides good , strips the cable good and cuts good too... totally recommended for the price and the content

I am currently in the process of wiring my house with CAT6 ethernet. I looked around for crimping tools and I took a chance on this complete unit. It has worked flawlessly. As long as you get the wires aligned right in the holes, it does take some patience to do so on such small gauge wire, it is quite speedy. The connections that come with it are quite sturdy and is welcome to this amateur. The covers that slip over the connections to protect the wires and provide a little strain relief are a little loose. I love that it came with a tester and it works quite well, the longest run I have done so far is about 30 feet and the tester worked without issue.

I needed the pass-through connectors only. I am happy that I chose this particular offering. I really didn't expect much from the crimps. These are now my favorite crimps. I can't imagine ever using the RJ-11 features, but the RJ-45 features work great. I particularly like the cutter that trims the pass-through wires. I had to adjust it a bit, but now it works great. The cable tester gets the job done. No extra frills; just a reliable device for checking continuity. The connectors themselves are good. The pins seat well and I get a solid connection to the ports. And that wire stripper is a handy little tool. I collect those things and keep them handy near my work benches. I would buy it again.

I am extending the network at a farm into several additional buildings and was not able to bring my normal data cabling tool kit with me. Purchased this kit and was very pleased with the contents and effectiveness of the crimping tool, cable stripper and even the basic cable tester. All work as expected. Crimping tool does take some hand / forearm strength to get a full crimp on the RJ-45 ends - but that is expected. Cable stripper does a good job of scoring the outer jacket and, when using light pressure, not scoring the individual wires inside. Cable tester is very basic but will indicate if you mixed up a pair of wires or have a bad RJ-45 crimp - which is all that is truly needed. I did not have any cable runs over 50' - so there was no concern about signal loss. Solid set of data termination tools at an affordable price.

I work for a nonprofit and we decided to do our cable running in-house to save money. I used these to crimp and test a couple dozen Ubiquiti CAT 6, 23AWG CMP cables. Pros: -The stripping and crimping tool worked quickly and easily fit in my tool belt while on a ladder. -Connectors and jackets all worked well with 0 failures. -Tester was fine for basic cable continuity. -The little yellow stripper was handy with older, thinner CAT5e cables. -Came with extra blades for the crimper. Cons: -The pass through connectors were a little tight at times, so I had to be sure the wires were absolutely straight. -The cable tester was a bit spotty on multi-story runs. Verdict: For my small project, this was perfect. What you get for the price is an excellent value. It is a great tool to have on hand for the DIY IT person, home networking, etc. Pros will definitely want something better, but they know that.

I used them very well and done many cables for my cams at home. Good quality worth buying for such amazing cost
