Bought this to bind together sections of water heater insulation blankets that I cut to make insulation blankets for my garage doors. Years ago, I purchased pre-made vinyl covered garage door insulation blankets and they worked great. It appears they are no longer made so I created my own after installing new garage doors. This tape worked perfectly on the vinyl coverings to seam the pieces together. It also bonded well to the garage doors at the edges. For a long lasting bond, I would recommend cleaning the surfaces with alcohol or acetone first and letting it evaporate before applying the tape. Make sure you apply it where you want it the first time as it's difficult to remove. If you accidentally touch the sticky sides together, you better cut another piece as it's nearly impossible to pull the tape back apart without ripping it. Based on how aggressively it sticks to vinyl, I believe it would also be an excellent choice for PE sheet films and vapor barrier. --------------------------- PS - Recently, I reordered this product for another project.. This tape sticks well to most any clean dry surface. Make sure you have it where you want it when applying because it's nearly impossible to reposition once in place. And, when applying a long section of tape, if it touches itself you might as well cut off that section out and start over. You likely won't be able to separate the contact point. Versatile and effective tape for the right projects. Some of the stickiest stuff I've ever used.

Ohh yah, this is an awesome product.

Used like 15 rolls of this to complete the vapor barrier between overlapping sheets of bubble foil insulation. It looks great and it's really strong tape, but I'm starting to see it pull off the foil over time. I think this has a lot to do with how much you stretch it when you're initially applying, so the technique I've settled on is pull out as much as I need then let off the tape to relieve pressure and then actually stick it to the surface, otherwise it seems to pull itself back off. Good now that I've figured it out, but I had to retape a lot of my prior work where I just was unrolling it as I walked along.

Bought this to seal seems in sheet insulation inside red iron steel building. This stuff will stick to wet glass! I’ve found lots of other uses as well. Sealing plastic sheeting under a pier and beam house and various repairs on anything I don’t want to come loose. Very tenacious holding power and extremely tough.

This stuff is really awesome. We were putting down a vapor barrier and the stickiness of the tape and its width is really good. It has now gone through one whole season and the adhesion is still as strong as the day it was installed. I would buy this product again

Works well

Doesn’t stick to concrete but otherwise good. I cleaned the concrete wall to attach the tape and still didn’t hold. For xps joints it worked great though.

Used it on under slab EPS and it worked really well, stayed together even after heavy rains!!

Perfect match for the crawlspace material I bought from Amazon as well.

This tape is pricey but it’s very good at sealing seams of vapour barrier.
