Good price, ok value
Bought them as replacements on my 1972 windows and they were never installed. Still have them in a box. They do look like they are cheaply made.

Easy install
worked wonderful for a 60 year old window!Cannot attest to durability because just installed, but appears to be a sturdy item and operates super smooth.

Great project piece
Took a fake frosted-block window and turned it into a fully-opening casement in my bathroom using this, a couple random pieces of hardware that were laying around, and a Sawzall. This part worked well with the space I had and functions well. 3/5 on the Value/$ rating because the set screw that secures the handle would not stay tightened. Ended up taking a random small screw I had in my junk drawer and tightening the snot out of it. No issues since.

not for everyday use..
I had to have this.. can't have a broken window handle in an air bnb... luckily it's for a window that isn't used that often.. it doesn't look that sturdy and is very lightweight.. so far so good but like I said.. it's not for every day use on a window that's hard to open.. it won't last.. but price was right I guess.. most importantly it shipped fast so I can't complain..

Fit my windows built in 1950
This perfectly fit my bathroom window in a house built in 1950. It works just fine. I have to admit it doesn't feel as sturdy as the old solid brass window cranks, it's made of some kind of lighter alloy. However, the window I put it on is small and it should be more than enough. It also came with the right screws.

Easy install, but its cheap
I bought several of these and only about half work. The handle just turns and doesn't catch sometimes. I've tighten the screw to the handle, but it still doesn't catch properly.

A GIGANTIC improvement -- I wish I had done this sooner!
For years and years I had a very difficult, balky casement (crank-style) window in my bathroom. One day, it failed completely -- the crank spun freely. Well, when I put the new one in (four screws is all!) it worked perfectly, so very easily, so very smoothly, that I now wish I had replaced it when it was just balky.Got a cranky crank window? Do yourself a favor and replace the mechanism. Five minutes! SO VERY worth it!

Window Handle Issue
The Window Turn Handle Stripped within minutes after installation. Post is OK, but shavings came out of handle. Had to locate, install, and use a different Turn Handle, Older handle appears to be made out of a stronger metal.
