Good value replacement for old saggy shocks and springs
Seems to be better quality than I expected, especially compared to the 34 year old shocks I pulled off. Was a job for a shop at the end of the day, the front was more than I wanted to do. Maybe I’m used to Toyota. Either way, I’m impressed by the dampening and my bronco originally had the quad front shocks but they suggest just one up front so I was suprised at how much it’s improved. The rear is a block, that’s easy, everything about the rear is easy although I would like another inch out back, seems like the springs don’t settle much so it’s a little higher up front. Maybe I just need to drive it more but it’s been a year. Either way good kit if you want to run 33s and still have a stock look and feel with added plushness. Does better off road too!

great lift kit but not for beginners
This kit was installed on a 1994 Bronco XLT. Let me start out by saying that I have a 2 post auto lift, full fab, and machine shop. The 6-8 hour install time is misleading. Like the other reviews it took me a little over 11 hours. The rear is easy to install, 2 blocks, 2 shocks, and 4 U-bolts, I had that done in about an hour and a half. The front is were things get interesting. The instructions talk about doing the work off of jack stands, but to be honest this would be a nightmare to do on the ground. Between having to lower the pivot points, and some of the drilling required it would take significantly more time. I had an issue with one of the brackets not fitting properly but after a stop at my press then a little bit of grinding on the truck it fit perfectly. Drilling the 5 extra holes was a pain but I can see why it is set up this way. Also on 2 of the brackets the bolt holes didn't line up with my frame but since the truck is 26yrs old I'm betting that the truck shares some of the responsibility. Die grinder with a metal bit will be your best friend on this job as well. The instructions talk about using a grinder or drill to remove the rivets on the OEM hangers, that would have taken a year. Using the trusty flame wrench it came off quickly but you had to properly set up for it.Lastly the instructions are not the best and the pictures are not labeled as to the direction that you are facing so everything can be confusing. Although they are supposed to be set up as a step by step it really helps if you read a head and plan your moves out. I found it easier to do some steps out of order. All in all it is a good kit they have thought out all the parts, hardware, and suspension geometry. I didn't have to get anything extra it all came in the box, although some of the boxed stuff required modification. I do not recommend anyone attempt this kit unless you have experience replacing suspension components and a moderately equipped shop.
