AvalonGeneric Price Pfister Shower and Faucet Stem, Ceramic Disc Cartridge, Brass Construction

I originally bought a the replacement from the big box stores. It was garbage. I wanted as close to original as I could get and all they had was plastic. The thing broke within a month. This one however, is brass. Fit's great, no leaks, no issues. Had it installed in minutes and I have one that can be repaired in the future when necessary.

So my tenant called me and volunteered to call a plumber to have them look at the shower and a couple other issues in the house. Plumber called me when at the house, and said the valve should just be replaced. It was an older model. He said he'd email me the estimate. $3800.00 for just the part and plumbing work and the wall would need to be opened on both sides (including the tile side) and they would not do the repair to the wall/tile. That would be on me. I said no thank you to the plumber. I went to the house. Removed the valve and clearly saw it just needed a replacement set of valves. Ordered two and replaced them this week. No more leak. Super disappointed with the plumber inability to fix a simple issue.... These valves are well made and a perfect fit for a Price Phzister shower valve.

I couldn’t find these in town so I ordered them, fit was perfect and they work great, I’ll see how long they last but right now I’m happy.
