The best soft doll for little boys (or girls!)
I absolutely love this doll. My son is 2 years old and me and my husband knew early on that we did not want our son to be reliant on a pacifier at bedtime much after 12 months old. In comes this adorable soft cuddly guy. It was a present I bought for my son's first birthday and it quickly became "Arthur" and my son's best pal, especially at bedtime. We don't travel anywhere without him and to be honest I've bought 5 of this exact doll because I don't ever want to be unable to replace Arthur if he becomes lost or too dirty. I've already replaced him twice. The last time my son looked at the new Arthur and did a double take...must've been because he was so clean haha. I think Manhattan Toy Company used to make these dolls machine washable but the dolls of theirs that I have say to spot clean so I don't want to try them in the washer, so they can show a little dirt with wear. One downside to this doll is that the outfit does pill, but at least it is washable and you can use one of those electric pill removers and it looks a little refreshed after that. The first "Arthur's" outfit also lost the stickiness to the velcro at both velcro strips (back and crotch) and I had to sew them together so the outfit would stay on. I do think with normal play however this would not happen...our son just happens to love on Arthur all night and used to pick him up by the outfit a lot and not by the dolls body. The second 2 Arthurs have not had this problem. The doll also doesn't sit on it's own despite a slightly weighted bottom but the bottom and belly button detail are just adorable. I've also bought some other Baby Stella dolls (multiple colors and both sizes) so that my son has a well rounded group of friends :) Love that they offer both genders of Baby Stella dolls and in different skin tones. Little boys need dolls too! If you're on the fence due to price, just buy it, it's worth it.

My son loves his little fella
My son loves his baby fella! It doesn’t get as much attention as some of his other toys (right now the fixation is on cars) but I bought some toy bottles and he loves to pretend to feed fella and his other stuffies, and when we clean up toys at the end of the day he likes to hug fella, day night night, and tuck him into “bed” (a toy basket). I love that this toy rounds out my sons play experience by bringing out a gentle, nurturing side of him and that he can copy what he sees his mommy and daddy model for him. It’s also a nice gentle way to end play time before bed, vs trying to transition out of high energy toys like driving cars all around the house at top speed. The magnetic pacifier is entertaining and he’s just the right size for a 1-2 year old. Thinking about buying a crib so he can do the bedtime routine with his doll to further help him transition into his own bedtime routine with less fuss. And I have no way to prove this theory yet, but I’m hoping when we have a second child this kind of play experience will help my son adjust. (Might be wishful thinking but one can hope).

Super Cute & Loveable.
I bought this for my son for his 2nd birthday. He was interested in his older sister's dolls and I thought he would like to have his own. I'd seen the girl baby Stella dolls before, so I knew this would be a high quality product. It does come in a very pink and girly looking box. It seemed like the same box that the girl Stella dolls would come in too - showing girls playing with the girl doll on the side of the box. Bear that in mind, if you are giving it as a gift. I removed it from the box before wrapping it for my son. (Not that he would really notice that there were only girls on the box.)My son loves giving the baby its magnetic pacifier. We'd just weaned my son off of his and now I'm having to constantly look for Baby's one instead! The diaper and clothes are cute. They are very easy for my son to remove, so Baby spends most of his time naked. My son sleeps with the doll and will sometimes take him out with us. I did get the impression that people were not too impressed with my son carrying a doll around. He does like the doll though. And my older son enjoyed a Cabbage Patch boy doll as a toddler, but he has outgrown him.Recently I thought we'd lost Baby. I even called the Drs office to see if he was there. My son wasn't upset about the doll being gone - but I was! He turned up in the end!I would recommend this doll for toddler boys or girls. I'm glad we bought him.

"Baby Stella" Boy - a fantastic choice!
I was staying with our two year old grandson when his Mama and Daddy brought home his new baby brother. Even though Mom and Dad did a fantastic job giving a whole lot of attention to the two year old and letting him "help" with the new arrival, it was still hard for him to understand the big change in his little world. After someone suggested getting an older brother or sister a doll to take care of, I started looking at dolls on Amazon. I knew the second I saw the Manhattan Toy Boy doll that it would be best for our boy because this particular two year old is not very "maternal" (though loving, he drags his stuffed animals and plays catch with them and takes them to his sand box to play with his trucks), so a soft doll would be best. This doll is adorable and very soft!!When we opened the box from Amazon and he saw the doll, I have never seen this child so excited! "His" baby had arrived. He takes his baby everywhere, pulls him in his wagon ... already has him potty trained :), and his Mom has made a back pack so the baby can go outside with him. They play with his trucks ... he shares all of his toys with his baby! He named his baby doll, "Bubba"! He really takes excellent care of Bubba! I don't know if a Manhattan Toy Baby Stella Boy (or girl) doll will help every little one who is about to have their world turned upside down (or so they think) by a new sibling, but it has been wonderful for our precious boy! It's really amazing to watch!
