These are NOT the type that are prone to shorting
A lot of these molex to SATA adapters have what appear to be molded SATA clips. They can get hot, melt the separating plastic and start fires. This happened on a PC i built for my son years ago. Ever since I am very careful when I use any sort of power adapter in a PC build. I found these SATA adapters to be made of hard plastic clips that were snapped around the wires. The SATA clips don't appear to be get hot and I am confident that they are not going to be safety problem in the use I made of them

Non-Molded Connectors, Like You Want
Non-molded connectors. Decent length. Good price.

The quality is really good and it's a lot easier to manipulate than the old school ones

Plug and Play for older drives all day!
Another adapter cable I bought for another computer needing power to older drives. Works great, fit isn't tight or loose.

Works as expected
I needed power for 4 3.5 HDDs from one molex connector. This worked well the molex end is not very long but worked fine for my needs. It also fit snuggly into the connector from the PSU. Feels overall a good cable. Only reason for 4 stars is the price. 6.5 dollars seems high.

3 months and still going strong
I bought this for my raid server build. I want to point out, picking the wrong cables can introduce a fire hazard. These however; are high quality. They are built well; and come packaged for easy installation .

Works great in my NAS
I bought these to split my power cables up to fit more drives in my NAS. I have a bunch of these in my NAS and they work great even after years. So I bought more the last time I upgraded my NAS and it still runs perfectly!

I can always trust Monoprice!
My powersupply didn't have enough SATA power adapters - what can I say, it's a pretty old PSU. This cable did exactly what I needed - converted an old-style molex 4-pin adapter to 4 SATA power adapter. I've been using it for several weeks now without any issues.
