Very helpful book
My boyfriend's daughter was embarrassed to ask for help going #2 so she would potty her pants. Since we started reading this book she now goes in the potty Everytime.

great funny book!
I am potty training my daughter and she loves this book. She now will point out all sorts of poop (we live on a farm and go on a lot of hikes) and I find it pretty funny. We have some other books by this author and they are all very cute. It's translated from Japanese and sometimes I think it makes the English versions a little awkward but the language in this is so simple, its not an issue. I'd definitely buy it again.

Funniest Children's Book!!!
Wow, Gomi did a magnificent job in writing this short, little children's book. The lesson to be taught from the book is that everyone eats, so everyone poops. I bought this book when my son just turned two to teach him about potty-training. He laughed his head off with the turn of each page. Today, my little boy is three months shy of being five-years-old and still laughs his head of when I read this book to him. It's very simple and straight to the point. However, the mere design of the book is so adorable. This book will entertain for years to come. I found Everyone Poops (My Body Science) on Amazon after a friend told me about it. There were dozens and dozens of used copies and I got one for just a penny. The book arrived in my mailbox just five days after I purchased it. The description of the book said the book was in great used condition. Well, the book was in such great condition, still to this day you can't determine it was a used book by looking at it.

Best potty training book (very Montessori)
I never write reviews but had to review this. It is the best potty training book. Even beats the Mr. Rogers book! My daughter (2.5) is enthralled in it and it was the only one that gave her the comfort to finally go poop on the potty. She has a copy right next to her potty. I think it really helps children who have taken in negative messages from daycare/relatives about poop as nasty, stinky, etc. It normalizes it. I also love the beautiful images and colors of animals, and yet it is very Montessori in how the animals do not talk. Anyway, love this book!

LOVE! Yes we MUST talk about it and SEE it!
Just received this book for my almost 17 month old twins (boy/girl). I know they're a bit young but my daughter has recently started taking off her diaper at nap time and has flooded her crib twice (thank goodness no poop!!!) Her brother more playfully tries to take his off, but she is expressing interest in starting to train or seeking attention. Either way its a great time to start learning. We got some books and videos and 2 potty chairs (gonna have to replace BOTH potty chairs but those are different reviews) they had very little interest in the other books, but were fascinated with this. My son was especially interested in the page that shows men and boys from adult to baby all pooping. I think he put together in his head a bit more what happens when he poops in his diaper. He loved the whole book but was especially fascinated seeing a human poop. I have to respectfully disagree with the librarian about this not being appropriate or necessary etc. Not sure exactly how she worded it. Its a completely NATURAL bodily function and I think the attitude that it is a dirty little secret (well ok its dirty, lol) is exactly why kids think poop and farts are funny. Its treated by people with that attitude as something naughty. Well I for one (not sure if librarian is a parent) am praying that I am not one of those parents who wake to find their child has removed diaper and smeared the poop all over their crib, walls, selves etc. I want them to fully understand what poop is and where it goes. This requires SEEING POOP. I thank the author for writing this and it gets an A+ in this house!

Everyone poops.... except whales and snakes?
So this book is wonderful for potty training, especially if you have an animal lover! Our son is fascinated by it, and points out all the different animals and their poops. Beautiful artwork and simple, clear language that allows you to elaborate if you want (or not...) The only issue: my husband, a scientist and an artist, was annoyed that the snake and the whale only had questions, but no poop. They poop too! So he researched it and added his own accurate depictions to each animal. Solved the confusion, but we wish the author had thought to add that too. In any case, a good book to have on hand in your child's bathroom.
