The lamp is definitely easy to assemble. The power cord is already strung through the neck of the lamp so you don’t have to try to figure out what piece is first, etc. Just twist it together, no tools needed. It’s a much smaller lamp than I imagined but it does the job well. The lamp offers a variety of lighting choices - dim to bright, amberish to white. The remote is easy to use and now I can adjust the light or turn on/off when I’m sitting down - I don’t need to get up and go to the lamp to change settings. I bought it to use while working from home because I found that the overhead light in my ceiling fan had a short and kept turning on and off on its own. This was a simple solution for my current work situation and it’s bright enough that it’s actually much better than my overhead light. I love it for more than that though because of all of its features. It seems really sturdy so - the metal Is heavy and substantial, not cheap and light or easily damageable. The top of the neck is bendable so you can direct the light in any direction. It’s a good buy -go for it.

I honestly can't say enough good things about this lamp! Great value for the price, solid and well-built, and took 3 minutes to assemble (if you can open/close a jar, you can put this lamp together!). It is very sleek and minimalist. I bought the white one so it would "disappear" into my decor when it is turned off. I purchased the lamp as a sort of task light to place behind a recliner so that I could see while crocheting, reading, etc. The long, flexible light panel arm makes it possible to move the floor lamp either off to the side, or far back enough so that I can recline without disturbing it or knocking it over.It is SUPER bright at it's maximum setting, and has all the settings to make it dimmer and change the light to a cooler or warmer temperature. There are handy buttons on the remote (it has a REMOTE, people!!!) with preset buttons for reading, computer work, gaming, etc. The remote is what takes it over the top for me -- it is really handy so you don't need to reach for the control panel on the lamp if the base is out of reach. The remote is also MAGNETIC - a very nice touch because you can attach it to any part of the lamp or another metal surface with magnetic properties - making it harder to misplace.I'm so thrilled with this lamp - it lives up to every claim in the seller's description and then some. In a word - PERFECT.

OVERALLI'm pleased with this purchase. It provides nice light for reading and yet can be toned down when desired. Its overall appearance is unobtrusive. The light performs as advertised, giving a range of brightness and choice of four color temperatures. The thin black pole and lamp assembly give a minimalistic unobtrusive appearance. And the price seemed very reasonable.ASSEMBLYAssembly was not difficult, but was a bit awkward -- note that it may be necessary to pull the cord out at the bottom of the pole as you go along to enable some of the upper pole segments to be screwed together. I was surprised the base was not heavier, but the light itself is lightweight enough that the assembly seems quite stable.INSTRUCTIONSThe slim instruction sheet suffers from the usual typographical errors and awkward English one comes to expect with Chinese products. One thing that confused me in the instructions dealt with the 1 hour timer. It says to "short press" the touch control on the pole until the "indicator light" flashes to set the timer, but I could not find any indicator light. This "short press" is the same thing one does to cycle through the four available color temperatures. Eventually I figured out there is no separate indicator light, but it is the light from the lamp itself that does a quick off/on flash when the timer engages.REMOTE CONTROLThe lamp comes with a remote control, which runs on two included AAA batteries. The remote duplicates the functions of the in-pole touch control, plus adds a few additional buttons that put the lamp into specific color/brightness combinations. The most useful of these additional functions for me is the "night light" button which sets the lamp to a low level and simultaneously starts the 1 hour timer. The remote is magnetic so it can be easily placed on the pole and just as easily removed for use. It does look a bit unsightly when hanging on the pole, though, and interferes with the otherwise clean look of the lamp..

I needed a lamp that would work with my dad's eye conditions and give him enough light without any issues in terms of brightness and area covered/shadows. Preferably, we wanted a sturdy base and my dad wanted a lamp with a remote after doing some research of his own because it was "neat" (and anything to help make this user friendly for him I was all for).Order and Delivery process was fine and I was really shocked when I saw how it was packed and even thought for a second "that can't be right." My dad brushed me off and, well, it was right, because he had it assembled in no time. When he was testing the lamp? Y'all. You would have thought it was Christmas morning for him. He was just giddy - and I don't use that term lightly. He wouldn't stop talking about it or referring to it for the rest of the night. (=Long story short, this lamp completely lives up to its expectations and then some. It's super easy to move around but stays planted where you put it, very user friendly with a touch area to power the lamp, and using the remote just came naturally (but my dad also might have read about how to operate this or something; regardless it was easy to figure out and with a few minutes of exploring/practice, it will be like second nature, akin to how you operate your TV remote on autopilot). Definitely worth the money with how it met and exceeded our expectations. (And so far, there hasn't been a brightness setting that my dad didn't like that didn't irritate his eye/condition and its reach/coverage doesn't disappoint!)I don't normally do the whole review thing (which I need to change) but we were very satisfied with this lamp/purchase, so much so that my dad even recommended leaving a review so I knew it was a seriously good product!
