Product description Review: Perfect bold black ink for my pen. - Great flow. Very dark ink, refills easy and works way better than the little single use pen capsules. Review: Quality Ink - Thus far, I've only used this in a Waterman pen with a medium nib. The pen sat idle for some time because I'd made the mistake of putting a junky disposable cartridge in it and it gummed up the works pretty badly. I rinsed the pen out and used a "universal" converter cartridge to put in my Unforgiving Black. The ink dries fast and soaks in quite well. I tested a patch with a drop of water and it didn't smear much at all. I read in the reviews that I should shake the jar before using it. I didn't do that, and honestly the ink does look a little lighter than I expected with a title like "Unforgiving Black," but I suspect that part of the issue here is the old ink and water hasn't yet cleared out of the mechanism. I guess I'm an ink junkie. I'll never use all that I have, and yet... I feel like I need to try a few more of Dryden's colors.

Surprisingly good ink in a cool bottle.
I got this ink when I got my Dryden Designs fountain pen at the beginning of December and I just got around to testing it out. I hadn't even opened it. I was testing out the two colors of ink cartridges the pen came and now I've used up on of each, I was able to try this out. It comes in a squat heavy glass bottle which is very stable and resists spilling. It has a silicone rubber stopper in the top so it absolutely can't spill when the lid is screwed on tight. It is a very nice looking bottle that looks good alongside my other more stylish bottles of ink. The ink itself is a nice black ink. It isn't quite as black as some of my other favorite black inks, but this is black enough for my uses. It is not a waterproof ink so it will run and smear if it gets wet and you won't want to use it for anything that requires permanence. It is a fairly fast drying ink. It does bleed through paper that my other inks don't bleed through, leaving some big spots on the other side. However it doesn't feather significantly with a more dry writing pen, but it does feather where pens put down a lot of ink. The ink is a bit more expensive than other fountain pen inks, but not quite as bad as the more expensive brands. You are paying for the custom bottle a bit, but the bottle is good and stable highly reducing the chances that you will knock it over, making it more worth it. Some of their colors are cheaper than others, I'm guessing because they aren't as popular and they are trying to reduce inventory on those. It is a nice ink but I think it could be a little lower in price. They also unfortunately have a very low color selection. I've researched some of their other colors and I'm probably going to get some when they come back in stock.

Good ink, but not jet black.
I use this ink in my fountain pen. I have had ZERO issue with dry out or running. The ink isn't as dark as I wish it would be, however. It tends to dry and looks "diluted". If you want ink for daily writing, this will get you by. If you want a jet black ink, look elsewhere. I would definitely buy again, however.

Smooth even flow
I'm new to fountain pens. I ordered this ink since it had good reviews and (vanity) a nice looking bottle. It flows from the pen with no problems and is a nice dark black that is readable. Worth the little extra that you would pay. I don't write a lot, so this will last me a while. Why not spend a bit more for something you'll be happy with?

Great product
First time using a dip pen with this ink so I’m not sure if it’s my lack of experience, but if you know what you’re doing then it won’t be sheer at all

The ink is very dark
I got some on my hand and its very hard to remove. Works well in my Lamy fountain pen. It's super dark and great for drawing with an extra fine nib.

It's OK!
A good black, dry, inexpensive ink.

A Good Everyday Ink
I like Dryden ink. The black is dark, maybe not the darkest black, but I didn't notice any grey. I find all Dryden inks to be well-lubricated. They look wet when you are writing but dry quickly. They all seem to work well in any pen. It's good for new users. Consider a box of assorted ink cartridges too if you are a new user. It gives you a chance to try out different colours. I only have one problem - that plastic thing that is supposed to stop the ink from drying out. Open this ink in a sink that won't stain or over a newspaper. Wrap it in whatever you used and throw it out. Then you won't have to deal with the mess ever again. Just wipe the top of the bottle every time you fill your pen and it should seal well enough. I've never had one of these ink bottles dry out. I suppose that it would if you kept it for years. This isn't an expensive ink. You will most likely use it up long before it has a chance to dry out.

This ink is great
I’m not sure how to appraise ink. However, I chose the Unforgiving Black color. It flows smoothly out of my pen, and it’s very, very dark. One of the darker blacks I’ve seen and used. The bottle is great quality. It’s sturdy and there’s a rubber seal on the inside of the bottle so ink doesn’t spill out. I definitely feel like I got my money’s worth with this bottle.

Flows well no clogging, 5 days in the pen, I still have had no issues. Dries fast.
I use it mainly for drawings, pen and ink sketching is my hobby. I have no experience with other similar products, but I know what I like and what works for my needs. I am pleased with the results I am getting. Anyone have an idea how to get water proof ink off fingers? I am a total newbie, but I would recommend this, and I will order more. Over all 5 stars for sure.

This Ink inspired me to draw after 5 years!!
I'm so happy with this bottle. "unforgiving" black lives up to its name very well. No matter what I'm writing or drawing on its clear, precise and exactly what I intend every time. I've refilled my pen (universal converter) twice in two days because I just can not stop wanting to use it!! I am very interested in their more flashy colours but had to test with the black first. 10 outta ten!! Would recommend

Looks great and will last ages.
Ink is very dark and doesnt smudge easily (at least on the paper I was using.) Nice glass container and feels very premium. It does not come with a dropper for easy use but I just had one lying around I'm using. If you use this with pen it'll last you maybe even years.
