The Best Windshield Wipers Period!
I received my PIAA 97055 22-Inch (550mm) Si-Tech Silicone Wiper Blades on time as scheduled. The wiper blades are packaged and sold individually, so you’ll need to look up what blades are available for your specific vehicle. Inside the long plastic package contains the actual wiper blade (not wiper refill), various snap-on adapters to fit every style wiper arms (if needed) and a packet of wet silicone wipes for the windshield. As instructed on the outside packaging, I cleaned the front windshield to a spotless shine. I then used the large wet silicone wipes and gently rubbed little circles over the entire front windshield and let it dried to a haze. I took a slightly damp microfiber towel to remove all the remaining haze, and then took another dry microfiber towel to polish the glass to perfection. I know through years of experience in the performance automotive industry that windshield wipers work best with clean a windshield and wiper edge. The installation was a breeze, the windshield wiper mounting point is able to accept two of the most popular mounting styles without the use of any adapters. However, if the basic mounting system doesn’t fit you still have many adapters to choose from to make it work. I installed mine in 10 seconds flat per windshield wiper. I tested these windshield wipers in the harshest conditions of Chicago, Illinois during the most inclement weather conditions! I didn’t even have to use the highest speed on the windshield wipers to be truly effective on the heaviest rain. It was easy to see everything through the windshield during the worst rain ever whether it be day or evening, just incredible. The windshield wipers were extremely quiet at all speeds settings, no streaks and no chattering noise. I know that the silicone wipes helps with the performance of these windshield wipers through water beading and dispersion, but I know that after the stuff wears off, the wipers will still work regardless of the silicone wipes. I have these windshield wipers blades on five of my personal vehicles. I have two offroad vehicles with these windshield wipers blades for over 10 plus years and they still work perfectly even with dirty windshields and no silicone on the windshield. My vehicles has been through extreme temperatures hot and cold for over ten years, but my windshield wipers has never failed me, period! It’s expensive (about $70.00 for the pair, but well worth it. You get what you pay for, so I’d give it two thumbs up!

The Rolls Royce of Wiper Blades- your search for the best ends here!
I ordered two sets of wipers: The PIAA and the Bosch Icon. I was replacing a set of Icons that never seemed to be "all that" from the start. It is possible I got a bad set. I was pressed for time trying to install the new Icons in time to make a long trip in California's worst yet rain storm. As luck would have it, the clip broke during installation, leaving me to run for the PIAA set. I was worried about the PIAA's since they come with a plethora of clips making me think I would never figure it out, but I did! I was also worried after reading a disgruntled review by someone who said his flew off, but I realized he didn't install them correctly. I used the online diagrams and videos and that worked well. I am so thankful the Icon clip broke! As the storm moved in I noticed that I didn't need to use the wipers as much as I normally do. I was a bit awestruck. The water was beading off of my windshield so much that I was able to see clearer in a way I have never experienced before, For three hours, I was taking note of these wipers- sounds silly, but when you are used to not seeing as well as you should (bad wiper blades), this is a big deal! The capper for me was at night. Rain at night just exacerbates glare, but that problem was significantly reduced by using the PIAA's. Frankly I could care less how long these last since I have now experienced the most phenomenal wipers on the market. If they last longer, that will be a bonus. The greatly increased visibility in a rainstorm makes these worth every penny and then some. I haven't used them in snow yet, but I cannot believe they wouldn't be equally good in those conditions. The real bonus of buying this brand is their uncommon customer support. PIAA's USA office is in Portland. When I had questions, they were answered promptly and quite frankly I was amazed when they told me I could call if I had any installation questions. I am so happy about these wipers, the company's support and knowing that there really is a superior wiper blade out there that I am converting all of our trucks to PIAA wipers. Finally... it is crucial to clean your windshield and use the prep pack that comes with these blades. It is equally crucial to keep wiper blades clean no matter what. I am using these on a 2015 GMC truck that sees a lot of miles in bad conditions. I will never buy anything but PIAA wiper blades again. PS- I even bought a set for my sister as a gift- they are that good!

Superlative performance
I was at my wits end trying to find wipers that worked on my Ford Fusion. Even after removing haze buildup (check it out online; you'd be surprised to see what's causing smear marks on your windshield, and it's an easy fix) and thoroughly cleaning the windshield, I went through four different brands (and price points) of wipers without finding any that actually did the trick without issues. Chattering, skipping, and smearing in one direction were the main problems. I live in the Pacific Northwest and it rains A LOT in the winter, so good wipers are a must. I did learn that the smearing can be a result of the cold, so I didn't think there was much to do about solving that issue. So, I spent the extra money to get a pair of the PIAA Si-Tech wipers, and so far have been amazed at how well they work. I conditioned the windshield like it called for in the installation instructions, and easily installed them in just a few minutes. They come with over five different wiper arm adapters too, and they are of good, solid construction. Ta-da! No more chatter or squeaking, and it almost completely eliminated the smearing problem as well. So far they have performed perfectly with no issues. At this point being that they are new I don't know what the longevity is, but after 3-4 months I'll update this review. At this time though I thoroughly recommend these!

Absolutely great wipers!
Absolutely great wipers! I put them on before a road trip, and it was probably the second worst rain I had ever driven in. These wipers were excellent for maintaining visibility in that terrible storm. They are great in the light rain, too, and leave a light silicone layer that repels water like rain-x.

Best in the business! (Updated)
(Updated!) After years of promoting these wipers, I have to demote my review 1 star. New info: -* BIGGEST REASON FOR DEMOTION: The refills are not as expected. They replace the blade, yes, but they do NOT contain the magic alcohol/silicone wipe that is the key to this wiper's effectiveness. (That means the refills are nigh-useless.) -* On newer cars, flat-bar design's clunkiness seems to cause aerodynamic issues with the wipe. (Rain may splatter back from the A-pillar after wipe at speed.) (Experienced on RSX, Sonata--A-pillar is raised, not like Firebird, Mazda3--.) The PIAA SS wiper remains exceptional, BUT that quality comes at a hefty price. It's still the best wipe, BUT to keep that performance, you have to buy the entire blade when you replace them. So rather than refilling them every...year? 2 years? 3? You'll want to change the entire blade at that interval. The cost-effectiveness falls dramatically. My opinion is your safety is still worth every penny, but here's an alternative. My suggestion, then, is buy the Super Silicone (NON-flat-bar) instead. You get the same wipe, but you spend less initially and less over time. The aerodynamic problems are eliminated because the air passes through them, rather than around them. The only downside is they aren't as nice to look at. Finally, buy these wipers (or the traditional ones) for your safety, if for nothing else, but do it eyes wide open. And don't buy the refills, ever... (Old content) My friend and I bought the original PIAA Super Silicone wipers a number of years ago and found them to be the best in the business. I bought another pair for my other car, and now another pair for the DD. So this review combines all my experiences. Overall, if you own any car besides a Euro, BUY THEM. Your safety isn't worth any less. Brief: + Wiper performance + Patented silicone coating technology + Cost-effectiveness + Wiper life + Eliminates rear wiper chatter + Flat-bar design + Compatibility for all non-Euro cars - Takes a little time to install properly - Flat-bar design is not as streamlined as some Hearsay: - Some European cars have fitment issues (note: PIAA makes specific-fit wipers for you, make sure you get them if they're available for your application!) - PIAA Fitment Guide might be inaccurate - PIAA Support Expanded: + I used to have an hour commute, and, as it is in the "Sunshine State", it was ALWAYS *POURING* rain in the evenings on the way back. Most people would be terrified in such conditions, but I actually looked forward to getting home early. Most everyone would slow to below 30mph and get into the slow lane as rain came sheeting across their cars, but I would take the fast lane at the speed limit thanks to crystal clear vision. The patented silicone coating makes it possible by allowing raindrops to turn into beads and roll back over the windshield. At 70mph, the effect is profound. I genuinely laughed at all the people crawling in the slow lane as I blasted past. Wiping performance, then, is absolutely spectacular. My friends are astonished by it when they ride with me: you have to see it to believe it. Rain-X has nothing on this. + Modern flat-bar design is better-looking, even if it costs a tad more than the old Super Silicone wipers. You can still get the old ones if you want-save a little if you're okay with the old-school looks. +* Immensely cost-effective. So we know the performance is incredible. Fine. But what about cost? I would ask you what your safety is worth. The wipers are an initial investment, that is true, but you gain some cost back, and here's why. When these wear out, you can use PIAA's refill system to revitalize your wipers. These cost less than getting whole new blades, PIAA Super-Silicone or not. So it will take a while, but change-for-change, you'll equalize the cost eventually. See the next point. + The wiper life is amazing, main reason for the cost-effectiveness. Here in FL sun, the wipers take a UV beating. If you actually keep up with maintenance on your vehicle, wiper changes for cars in the sun 24/7 is around every 3 months, maybe 6 months to a year. These? No. My friend bought these for his brand-new Mazda3 hatch in 2007, and 5 years later, they still wipe perfectly. So change-for-change, things will equalize eventually. Time-for-time, however, things equalize almost immediately. I can't speak for my own wiper life, unfortunately, as I totaled the first car I put these on. + 2 of 3 of my so-equipped cars have been fast- hatchbacks equipped with a rear wiper, and I've tried a number of different wipers on that rear mount. Not a single one has eliminated the chatter...until now. The silicone coating meshes perfectly with the silicone wipers, making them dead-silent. I know there aren't a whole lot of hatchbacks these days, but those that do have them might find the information useful. - If you follow the install instructions, it takes a little longer than just snick-snap-thwap. -* The flat-bar design is not as visually appealing as Valeo, the original flat-bar. - I see that some Euro car drivers are having trouble with fitment. PIAA recently added a new line of wipers specifically engineered for your cars. I would start with that lineup of wipers, THEN check the PIAA fitment sheets. See next. - PIAA support, according to the same reviews, is spotty. In addition, according to other reviews, the fitment guide isn't that great. Luckily, Amazon has the return policy, I believe. It seems Japanese and American cars don't have issues-I've tried the following cars with perfect results: Honda (Acura Integra, RSX), GM (Pontiac Firebird), Mazda (3 Hatch, front wipers ONLY), Hyundai (Sonata) Overall, if you have a Euro car, you might have to do a little research, but everyone else should be buying these. Get the right length, obviously, but buy them. For a little up-front cost and less over time, you get the very best in rain safety. Well, at least until the patent expires.

Best. Wipers. Ever.
I put these on my Golf 4.5 years ago. In the high desert of New Mexico, before moving to the seasons of New England. So, perfect conditions to dry the hell out of rubber, then make rubber brittle and prone to tearing. The wiper in the image on the wiper arm is brand new, and the detached wiper is the old one. The old one still works great, and all I've had to do is periodically wipe the edge of the blade with a cloth wetted in alcohol to dislodge particles that wood stick to the silicone. When they were particularly dirty, the wipers streaked and made a lot of noise, so it was pretty obvious when they needed to be cleaned. The beam material of the wiper body is superb, the old wiper is still just as flexible as the new one, and has the same arch, so it's still presses against the windshield just as well as the new one, and because it's a beam wiper it is suitable for summer and winter use, as frost can't get into the mechanism and prevent the wiper from flexing as it should. The one and only complaint that I have, is the attachment mechanism. I only replaced these, because the wiper is designed to have a removable base mount, so that it can be used in a very broad range of applications. For my golf, I needed to use the M clip and the B clip, and eventually the M clip developed enough play between it and the wiper body that the wiper would almost lay sideways on the window as it was wiping and would make an awful slapping sound that was disconcerting for my spouse. That being said I was able to take the worn out wiper and pop the pre-mounted base back onto the wiper body, and put them on my truck and they're still going strong. I can't really complain about a wiper that's meant to last up to 2 years that did last 5 years almost, but if I had one thing that I didn't like, it is the wear points that connect the pre-mounted base and the M clip to the wiper body itself. I actually epoxied my new M clips to the new wiper bodies, to prevent this from happening again. People talk about the noise sometimes, but if they're making noise, they need to be cleaned. Or wet. For me, they're silent when it's raining and they're working. I'd give this six stars. Awesome product.

Great performance, lasts for years.
Despite what the fitment guide says, these wipers DID FIT on a 2021 Ford Edge. You do have to change the pre-installed mounting clip to the correct one that is in included in the package. Performance-wise, I've yet to find anything that beats these wipers. They work great and last a long, long, time. The last set I had on my car lasted about 5 years, and even then the blades were still ok, the plastic mounting clip had simply rotted from UV exposure and weather. Realistically, I could have just zip-tied them to the wiper arms and kept going awhile longer.

great...while they last. good luck getting in contact with PIAA
bought a set to replace both factory blades. installation was not difficult and the flat blades worked extremely well...for a little while. the passenger side blade fell off a few times during use which is odd since it was put in exactly how the directions specified and only had the issue with the passenger side blade, not driver side. fell off the first time while driving about a month after installation. fortunately it slipped into the well between the glass and the hood and thus was easy to reapply. only problem was that i was on a highway during an incredibly hard rain and had to get over to the right under cover to reattach. About a week ago during more rain, the right blade would make a loud knock each time the arm moved. It was not wiping the windshield as effectively and certainly not like the driver side wiper. when I got out to investigate, I saw the the two plastic brackets that house the mechanism that attaches to the arm from the vehicle had snapped. while i understand that blades aren't indestructible, normal wear and tear after less than FIVE MONTHS is unacceptable, especially for a blade that costs 2.5X more than most blades available at any auto part store. The silicone blade itself is still fine, however the housing bracket was snapped. blades were ordered on April 8th and installed upon delivery. checked Amazon for an exchange policy for a defective unit and while it couldn't be returned after 30 days to Amazon, I was informed to contact the manufacturer directly since it appears that everything other than the silicone blade itself is under warranty for a year. Like others, finding contact info for PIAA was a chore and i'm not aware of any actual dealers in the area. I called the 800 number several times during business hours and got a regular voicemail which seemed very odd. took photos of the damage and attached to an email to PIAA customer support asking for assistance. This was 2 days ago and I have yet to hear back. I mentioned I took photos of the damage because i had intended to try and superglue the broken brackets back together so I could at least use this blade while waiting for a replacement. i wanted to show what it looked like before I tried to fix it. The superglue did not work, as i expected, and after 2+ days or no passenger side blade and no response from PIAA, I gave in and ordered a replacement blade. I didn't have the patience to read reviews for other types of blades and needed a blade since my occupation requires me to do plenty of daily driving. I'm annoyed that I did NOT hear back from PIAA and I'm annoyed that there wasn't an easier way to deal with this problem. At this point, I CANNOT ENDORSE THIS PRODUCT. The blade was excellent while it worked but $25-30 for a single windshield wiper that lasts only a few months before falling apart is ridiculous. I can only assume that this blade was defective since the other blade is still fine but I hope PIAA reads this and understands that they need a much more reliable way to contact the company. 2/3 reviews for this blade say contacting the company was difficult and 2/3 NEVER heard back from PIAA. Pathetic. Had the housing lasted longer, these were easily 5 star blades. they get 1 star until i'm satisfied from PIAA. Having to purchase a replacement blade because I never heard back from PIAA is outrageous!!

Excellent Performance and Durability - PIAA 97038 Silicon Windshield Wipers
Several months I purchased the PIAA 97038 Silicon Windshield Wipers for my car, and I must say, they have exceeded my expectations in every way. The installation was easy and straightforward, and the wipers have performed flawlessly in all types of weather conditions. One of the first things I noticed about these wipers is their excellent durability. The blades are made of high-quality silicone that is resistant to wear and tear, and they have withstood the harsh sunlight and extreme temperatures that we experience in our region. Unlike other wipers I've used in the past, these ones show no signs of cracking or deterioration, even after several months of use. But it's not just their durability that impresses me - the PIAA 97038 wipers also provide excellent performance. They clear my windshield effectively, leaving no streaks or residue behind, even in heavy rain and snow. The silicone blades are flexible and adapt well to the shape of my windshield, ensuring a smooth and even wipe every time. And, because they are designed to be aerodynamic, they make very little noise while in operation, which is a welcome relief from the loud screeching and squeaking that some other wipers can produce. Another great feature of these wipers is their ease of use. The adjustable arm allows me to position them perfectly for maximum effectiveness, and the rubber blades are easy to remove and replace when needed. The whole process takes just a few minutes, and I appreciate the convenience of not having to struggle with complicated installations or adjustments. I am extremely satisfied with the PIAA 97038 Silicon Windshield Wipers. They are durable, effective, easy to use, and provide excellent performance in all types of weather. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and high-quality windshield wiper solution. Rating: 5 out of 5 stars.

Excellent wiper
I have many problems with original wiper from Volkswagen, it was vibrating heavily, and the i tried Bosch, which reduced the problem to about 70%. But with this wiper, it reduces to max, and it now went very quiet and smooth. I will be a loyal returning customer for this product from now on.
