The best garden tool I never knew I needed. It is simply wonderful dealing with clumps of bamboo. Gets in to cut the stems where it's impossible to use ordinary loppers because the handles can't open in the bamboo clump. And afterwards, cutting it into short lengths to dispose of it the lopper can handle several stems at once.Perfect around the rest of the garden for my partner who doesn't have the strength to use ordinary loppers. I can use it one handed. Easiest to use for long periods below shoulder height, but fine for shorter jobs or with rests above if using it above.When it wears out eventually, I will definitely get another one.

This makes tree pruning so easy (but you obviously need to buy the one+ battery and charger too)

it clips thru branches at low level or on the ground very well but its not an arms reach up the tree lopper , its too heavy and awkward for that , i would suggest anything above your head height is going to be an issue , doable but an issue . its also got a protection cut out on it so it will cut easily thru certain thicknesses but wont even attempt slightly larger ones . dont get me wrong , its a very useful bit of kit and i like mine very much but .. it has limitations

This is a great tool.I have a few Ryobi Tools using this battery system and this is by far the best in terms of effectiveness,simplicity of design and ease of use.I have a reasonable sized garden that is bordered by neighbouring Leylandii overgrowing on my land and requiring regular maintenance.Very labour intensive to keep under control given that I am in my Autumn years!Manual loppers were effective but taking an increasing physical toll.This tool has largely resolved that issue.My one minor gripe is the slow speed of operation of the cutting blade cycle but otherwise very pleased with my purchase.Use a decent sized battery and you will obtain extended use in a single session of work.The jaw size caters for some substantial pruning cuts before getting to chain saw requirements for older growth.Recommended.

Works well & not too heavy. Good on battery life & both easy to use & ergonomically efficient. Reasonable jaw size makes short work of tedious tasks. Good job guys thanks 👍

This is second one of these I have had the first after several years of 'abuse' did not take kindly falling off roof of house during tree pruning. It is brilliant if you have mature trees and shrubs much quicker than a saw and safer as branches reachable without ladders etc. The only issue I have found is that if a branch is particularly tough and your grip allows it to twist splintering rather than cutting you can occasionally get detrius caught between the blades jamming them. There is no way of clearing jam and it is a b****** to clear.

Brilliant product. I have been trying to find something like this for years and had invented one in my mind many times! Really strong jaws, easy to use, to cut branches 40mm where you can't access them with annoying wide loppers. Great for small tree work working downward to saw size branches. Clean cut too and easy to maneuver, even with one hand after practice.Good if your arms are tired from loppers.Thoroughly recommend.

The Ryobi Lopper has made nice clean cuts on all the branches I have cut so far, up to a few at 1" diameter. The trimmed edge of the branch does protrude from the tree trunk slightly, it depends on how the tool is held during the cut, some protrude farther than others, nieghborhood of 1/8" protrusion. Another great thing is that it is easy to use and light weight and user friendly, fun to use. I would recommend it to a friend.

L'attrezzo mi è stato consegnato nei tempi previsti e senza problemi. Avevo già le pile cariche per cui ho potuto usarlo subito con grande soddisfazione. Usato con un po' di attenzione - cioè con il taglio sempre perfettamente perpendicolare alla venatura del ramo - taglia perfettamente tutti i rami verdi che entrano nelle ganasce: con legno secco credo sia meglio non arrivare al massimo dei 3 cm. I pro sono due: l'attrezzo è decisamente efficiente e non consuma molta energia. I contro sono tre: il peso e la lunghezza abbastanza limitata che non ne fanno un attrezzo comodissimo nell'uso specie se usato per rami piccoli. Comunque il lavoro per cui io l'ho acquistato lo svolge egregiamente: dopo una ventina d'ore d'uso tra primavera e estate lo consiglio anche perchè non ho avuto i problemi che altri recensori hanno segnalato
