It’s sturdy and has slight flaws (drainage hole not completely smooth, etc) but the description does note those so I was not caught by surprise. Once I put my plant in, it didn’t matter anyway. It had a nice matte surface but I would be careful as I had slightly oily fingers and now have a couple of fingerprints on it. I don’t mind them but just be aware if that would bother you. Overall, I really like this pot and so does my cat!
