I bought these because of one of my cats. He was constantly opening up the cabinet door and climbing in. Until he got the door open, you would hear bang, bang, bang as it kept shutting. These safety latches work Great! He was waiting for me to go to bed and tried opening the cabinet. I could hear his paw slipping off the bottom of the door as he tried pulling it open. Ha ha, fooled you kitty! I am so happy I purchased these. The instructions are easy to follow, plus they have a very short video on attaching and removing. I would definitely recommend these.

I really like these locks as they help you lock everything other than a cabinet door. We use them on our kitchen trash can, fridge, oven drawer and coat closet to keep our little guy out of those places. If you follow the instructions the adhesion works great. Be mindful when installing where would be best to have the one piece overhang, didn’t think this through on the kitchen trash so they get caught under the lid every time we open the trash. Our son knows how to relock them for us (yay?) but guests really struggle to unlock them when they aren’t used to them, so if you have a lot of different babysitters and relatives coming in your house often, be warned there is a learning curve and each person will have to get accustomed to unlocking them.

I am using the Wonderkid lock to secure an errant overhead cupboard door. It used to swing open as soon as I closed it. The cabinet is a light color so the white lock isn't obnoxious. I secured the anchor half under the cabinet and out of sight. It's so subtle that I forget it's there and try to yank open the cabinet door. It's kid- AND adult-proof, until I slide the lock up/off and then it opens easily. So it functions well. It comes in a pack of two thankfully, and here is where the 5th star dropped off. It turns out that if you adjust the strap's length on the anchor half and lock it in place, you can't UNLOCK it and adjust it, and it's essentially broken. That warning is somewhat buried in the directions. I recommend it be placed upfront in bold for us "skim the directions and wing it" types.

After the bathroom being flooded twice because my dad with dementia turned on the shower and forgot i wanted an easy solution to keep him out of the shower unattended. These have worked great. Affordable, easy to install and easy to open when you know how.

Easy to install. Locking mechanism is complicated enough to discourage young children, but easy enough for adults to operate. Unfortunately, the adhesive is very weak. 3M adhesive is usually good, so it's possible I may have gotten a "lemon."

Amazing product. I didn't even know these existed or I would have bought them a year ago. I have a 21 month old son and 3 year old daughter who would open the freezer in our French door refrigerator all day long. They would pull out food and feed it to the dog or throw it on the floor. This thing has been incredible. Easy to install, easy to use but my toddlers can't figure it out. It has been amazing for us.

I bought a pack of 2. I took one out of the box and examined it and while measuring the length I needed for the cabinet, I accidentally snapped "part A" into place, I didn't realize that is a permanent adjustment. It was now too long and wouldn't keep the cabinet closed enough, or if I put it on, the sticky parts were too far apart and looked bad. (Not that this product looks good to begin with). So I took the second one out of the box and was very careful not to touch part A until my measurements were done. I installed it and it worked great for 1 week, keeping my dog out of the trash. I had company at my house and after they left I saw that the strap had slid out of Part A. There is no way to slide the strap back into Part A. So this product kept the dog out of the trash for one week. I will not repurchase. They advertise that these are "reusable," but they likely won't last your first application, or they will be set to the wrong length. They will be trash before you know what happened.

This is exactly what I needed to keep my 18 month baby out of the fridge! I was able to install it out of his reach. For taller, older toddlers I can see how there might be an issue with them figuring it out quickly... its not rocket science after all. Works for me!
