Rinse in hot water and only use items that have never been treated with any chemicals to scrub with. Fish and aquatic species are super sensitive to anything toxic and if you want to keep them alive you have to think natural and no chemicals. **Q: are these okay to use for a reptile tank?** A: I'm not sure of the stipulations for a reptile tank. I purchased them for a craft. They were very clean with no dirt or powders clinging to them. They were "grape-size"; some bigger some smaller. There weren't a lot of sharp edges.
