NBA 2K16 : Early Tip-off Edition - Xbox One

This year's version of NBA 2K is so much better than the recent years. Spike Lee really made the My Career feature really interesting since it basically integrates a dramatic movie into the story. The graphics are incredible, and there are so many options in the different modes. You definitely have to buy this game if you consider yourself a 2K fan.

First ... this is not a five but a four is too low. Most complete NBA video game yet. You can now even modify the ages of the players. More classic teams, more playing options. I'm not happy about the fact I can't download individual players from the share menu and a few of the players ... Shaq .. don't look right but anything lower than a 4.5 rating is a stretch.

mycareer is broken. used all my 10k vc on my guy, tried to start the first game, and right before it started, the game reset. when i went back, it wouldn't load up the game. all it shows is a black screen but i can hear the audio. ridiculously frustrating. whats the point in preordering a game that obviously isn't complete and doesn't work? now i don't get to play the 4 days i was promised, and i lost 10k vc. the two main reasons i preodered it... gone... i hope there is a way they can fix this for me because I'm out 10k vc and won't play anymore unless they fix it. luckily amazon gives me some time to return it if they don't get this taken care.

No in game tutorials to help you learn the new game play. I find my self skipping to story. Don't feel involved in it. Could have just spent more Money on gameplay and options.

The most frustrating, best looking sports game out there. The amount of VC you earn is obviously getting lower and lower each year. I've had practically the same settings for 3 years now and playing a game in MC has gone from earning me 1800VC to 1400VC to now only 900VC a game. Also, you can't level up unless you "go to practice" and along with connections and useless "endorsements" getting in the way, it becomes unnecessarily complicated. However, THE MOST FRUSTRATING part is depending on the type of player you choose, (guard, forward, or center), your players are SEVERELY capped. A SF for example might be good at their typical categories rebounds, dunks, etc. but is considerably slower than guards (by about 20) and has no handles, whomp... so much for modeling a player to be like Lebron, Durant, or Paul George. This is probably why you see almost everyone at the Park as PGs, they are the quickest, best handles and can even dunk if you choose inside scorer. HUGE fail in that sense. The Spike Lee part of the game is dope, and the addition of college teams is awesome, just wish they had some cut scene on the school you choose for example... the small details. The other frustrating part of the game, as has been in previous 2K edition but now just completely out of control is the AI. If the game decides you'll lose to the CAVS... YOU WILL LOSE to the CAVS. No matter how many quadruple doubles (56 pts, 23 assists, 13 rebounds, 15 steals) you get, you WILL LOSE. There are times as well when you will NOT be able to hit a 3 pointer, no matter what... and it's because you either skipped practice that gave you a "boost" at the 3 or the next practice is 3point shots... it was evident in previous version but now it's just out of control. I really wish this game was more fun than frustrating, everything else is so good (graphics, story, commentating, decisions). Servers still suck as much as ever.

2k Sports just keeps getting better and better. This version is really strong in the My Career section. It really gets you into creating your player and taking him through a real NBA career, including endorsements, practice and player and owner relationships. There is also an Android/iOS companion app that is fun all of itself that will allow you to acquire VC (the in-game currency) to so you purchase various things in your career. Highly recommended

Overall, 2k and visual concepts really stepped it up this year with improved gameplay, new features, body scans, and overall graphics. The small details are simply amazing. They also include 9 colleges and even get to play 3 high school basketball games! This allows you to completely feel how your created player made it to the NBA. I really like the effort they are trying to put into my career by teaming up with spike lee. However, I wish the story wasn't so scripted. I wish it was more open. 2k could really have spend the money and time they spent on Spike Lee and cut scenes to further improve features and other aspects of the game. Overall, I should not be complaining. Definitely the best basketball game ever created to date.
