The Age of Undress: Art, Fashion, and the Classical Ideal in the 1790s Hardcover – March 17, 2020

I thought this book was utterly excellent. It really put the fashions and fads of the time in a historical perspective that went well beyond being “neoclassical.”

I LOVE 1790s fashion, but many bigger books about 18th century style tend to "skip over" that period. This one is a great, in-depth study with many beautiful pictures and fascinating historical details. Definitely a must have if you love late 18th century style!
