Required when using a TSN-660/600 Series eyepiece with a TSN-880/770 Series eyepiece. Also have specialty eye pieces for the old scope that I can now use on the new. This adaptor has the same problem that the old series had. The eye piece can come loose very easily, with a slight twist and hit the floor, or dirt.
