I think my expectations were just a bit too high, because it took a lot for me to finish the book.First, I was not happy what-so-ever that Sean was even in the picture. I was really hoping for Callie and Thorpe to be the only two involved in their relationship. Reading the book, I understand that Sean can give what Thorpe can't and Thorpe can give what Sean can't so it really does work out for the three of them. But I was super sad myself.So...Callie is a run-a-way multi-millionaire who is running from the people who killed her family. Never staying in a place too long, Callie's stay at Dominion has been her longest residence since fleeing nine years ago.Sean became Callie's Master in the previous story but we knew nothing about him yet. Now, we know that he cares for Callie but we also know he's a liar.Thorpe, I wouldn't call him a liar, but he is so incredibly unavailable for emotional support it's kinda crazy that he's the "big bad Dom". Though he knows how to take care of subs, he doesn't know how to handle someone he loves so he just avoids it altogether.It became pretty boring to me with Sean and Thorpe talking about their feelings constantly.I really do like this series and every character in them. Some stories I just like way more than others. This one is definitely not one of my favorites, but it still connects everyone (even if only for a moment). So I will continue onto the next book when it comes out. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Another Terrific Wicked Lovers Novel *by C***T on Reviewed in the United States on March 5, 2014* I'm a huge "Wicked Lovers" fan and thoroughly enjoyed reading this latest installment. Shayla Black does not fail to deliver a complex plot filled with hot scenes and memorable characters. I really like revisiting the secondary characters from her other novels and Thorpe & Callie are discussed in at least two other WL books, so it's fun to learn their story.That said, it's a pretty exciting story and of course, the sex scenes are quite steamy, as expected! "Romance" or "Erotica" rarely earn better than a 3-star rating from me, so this is definitely a "highly recommend" for those who enjoy erotic thrillers!This is a 4.5 star book for me (5 star on Amazon; 4 star on Goodreads) because the "intervention" scene near the end was just too contrived for my taste. And as another reviewer mentioned, I was also questioning the "safe, sane and consensual" status in one or two scenes. This is where I will always draw the line and why I stick to Ms Black's WL series, because my couple of ventures outside this series were clearly outside these guidelines (I reviewed at least one of them here on Amazon). Sure, the mystery-thriller aspect was a bit far-fetched, and some of the technology timelines might be off, but that's why we call it "fiction"! I'm good with how it all played out.Overall, terrific book and one that I will definitely read again and again! Great job, Ms Black! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Overloaded with emotion and passion Theirs to Cherish was a powerful read. *by D***R on Reviewed in the United States on March 10, 2014* Over the last few months I have fallen in love with the naughty tales of Shayla Black's Wicked Lovers series. The anticipation that I had going into the reading of Thiers to Cherish was very high on my end. I fell in love with Thorpe from the first time I read about him. I know there was more to that Dom than what we knew. Yes Callie has recently peaked an more than am interest in me. And I will be honest Sean just seemed to be a bit to nice in is dominating.Callie was nothing like I thought she would. From her battiness of the pervious book, I took her as a spoiled, get what she want kind of girl. I so had her pegged wrong. She is so strong in so many ways. Ending up at Dominion gave Callie a sense of home and safety, something she really need. Callie learned that it's ok to be in love with more than one person at a time. I think a lot of people in real life can relate with that. Callie is now by far my favorite heroine that I have read this year.Sean, I wanted to hate in so many way but I ended up loving him too. He was despite and the rocked the foundation of the trust that had earned together. I will give Sean that his heart was in the right place and he did everything and beyond to show Callie what she meant to him.Thorpe, oh my. My favorite of club Dominion. I believe that Thorpe loved Callie from the start but because of past issues, made him take a step back. Of the three, I believe that he had to overcome the most and be able to admit that he was truly in love. Thorpe’s past too, surprised me a little but once you get his story you will understand him more.I say this with each book of the series, but they do get better and better.
