Alba BotanicaACNEDOTE DEEP PORE WASH, 6 FZ

I bought this after deciding that I wanted to start a new skin care regime. I've always washed my face, and used toners and makeup, but recently decided I needed to start moisturizing and discontinue to the use of very strong hydrogen peroxide cleansers in order to let my face be at it's best. I've suffered from acne for years. I am now 29 yrs old and believe a lot of it was caused by my poor knowledge of how to cleanse. I started out double cleansing with the Boscia oil cleanser and bought this as my second cleanse. I've used the alba acnedote peel mask before and liked that the ingredients in the alba line are botanical and natural. This has a very light scent that's hard to define, it's definitely not strong and maybe can be described as a bright, citrus scent. It's a thin, runny cleanser and did arrive from Amazon with some of it leaking and coating the outside but I just rinsed it and that was that. This does foam up, which I love, and does an effective job at removing makeup and oil without being harsh. It's NOT supposed to be eaten, but while washing if a bit gets on your lips which tends to happen, it tastes like citrus. Which tells me it does have a high content of botanical plant based ingredients. Of course I didn't mean to taste it but there ya go. I have it on auto delivery once per month now because it takes me about a month to use up and I'm using this as my regular cleanser now. You must needn't use a lot and sometimes too much comes out of the bottle but if you're aware before using it that can be avoided. My new go to! My face has cleared up considerably using the ordinary squalane cleanser as the first cleanse, the alba as the second, followed by the ordinary glycolic acid toner, and topped off with a bit of the ordinary moisturizing factors. I do not use a sunscreen and i know that will horrify most skincare junkies but there is a sunscreen in my foundation and I wear it everyday. I still have a long way to go with my skincare routine and perfecting it but the alba is here to stay. My face literally feels squeaky clean but not taut and dried out from harsh ingredients. When you're desperate for an acne solution, you'll purchase anything. Lesson learned here -- I purchased the whole set (face wash, toner, body scrub, spot treatment) and though this worked temporarily (about 2 weeks), it did more harm than good. My face started to semi-clear up with the toner and spot treatment, but left my skin SUPER dry, which affected my makeup routine. Once my face cleared up, I would wake up with a set of new zits, it just didn't make sense. The solution ended up being the culprit.I transitioned into a simple routine: authentic african soap and my skin started to clear up. Now I use a manual face wash brush with synthetic bristles and use Acure face. No toner, no spot treatment, and no body scrub. I've learned that Alba Botanica is notorious for using inferior ingredients among the "cleaner" products. I still have acne marks to clean up, so I'm relying on Bio Oil/Oz oil.

I wasn’t expecting the results I got. I wish I had taken a before and after pic to show my results. So, my facial acne isn’t bad, but I just needed a face wash that wouldn’t dry out my skin and leave it feeling tight. This product did the trick and the smell is lovely. My real problem area is my inner thighs which is bumpy due to blackheads. I’ve had this problem for all my adult life and I’m in my late 30s. Saw a dermatologist which was a waste. I bought this for my face, but one day decided to try in on my inner thighs. I swear within one week, I noticed the blackheads were getting smaller. In 2 weeks, 75% of the blackheads were gone!! And I only used it once a day! It even brightened up my inner thighs! Everything isn’t for everyone but this is definitely for me. I love it!

Okay I WISH I knew how amazing this was going to be, because I would have before and after photos to share...could take an after but it wouldn't resonate without the "before".I have had combo skin, large pores and blackheads since puberty, and am now 30 years old. I've tried every brand, every regimine and some prescriptions.This is by far the most effective wash I've ever used, which blows my mind especially considering rhe low price point (and comparing it to the high end face wash that I've wasted money on the last 10+ years)It clears my pores and after about a week of twice a day washes I'm ALMOST blackhead free.The packaging does not have a safety/security seal, which doesn't bother me personally but if it's something you need for your supplies then maybe try something else.Overall 5/5 stars 100%. I've now put the wash moisturizer and astringent on subscribe and save.

I’ve been using this face wash for several years now. It cleanses thoroughly and rinses off easily. It’s a clear slightly viscous liquid. A little goes a long way. Doesn’t over dry my skin and yet seems to help prevent acne outbreaks. Did I mention that I really like this product?

Had tried this at my friends house the other week and I love it. As a vegan,definately helps that it is veggie ingredients and is also cruelty free and free of harsh chemicals and radicals. It tingles and makes me skin feel fresh. Really has helped fade off my zits and other skin blemishes. Has a tea tree/minty smell and definately avoid getting it in your mouth cause it is quite bitter :p

I am 60 years of age and have had late onset adult acne since I was 30 years old. This product Really, Really deep cleans !!! Will initially sting on open lesions and sores. Will not do so on closed acne lesions. Also useful clearing sweat and grime after strenuous, aerobic exercise or working hard in the garden.I will definitely buy again

I just received the product. The bottle is not full and it's already expired. So disappointed. What if I didn't see the expiration date and used it? Who would be responsible if anything happened?jut got the second bottle and it's expired too
