WWE: The Attitude Era - Volume 2 [DVD]
As I'm sure you've seen in previous release's , Michael Cole is the host. He is featured very infrequently, though. He only shows up at the very beginning and the very end, making his presence in the first place feel odd. In between various matches and moments, we do get some interviews with a number of different Attitude Era stars. I appreciated the list of talent used for the interviews a lot. Sure, we've got an interview piece with The Rock, and one with Triple H as well, but for the most part, some of the less heralded stars of the era were interviewed. This includes people like The Godfather, X-Pac, Sunny, and Jerry Lawler. There's no real through-line for the various interviews; instead, they are a number of different "shoot interview" style stories about the moments and backstage life from the era. You will learn a few things you didn't know from these interviews, making them worthwhile inclusions. As usual, I would have preferred more, but I thought we got a nice balance throughout the set. Overall, I thought the segments were well-chosen. They represent the era well, even if there aren't too many famous moments. Fans of unreleased footage will certainly approve of this fact. It may appear that there are many more matches than segments included on this DVD, and overall that is true, but a lot of the matches end up being glorified segments, since they break down pretty quickly. For example, the Kaientai match is really only included to set up the infamous Val Venis/Kaientai moment backstage. It ends up being a lot of fun going into a match only seeing the generic match listing, and then discovering which moment this ends up leading to. For people like myself who grew up watching the Attitude Era i would recommended it.

Good fun
I enjoyed the first Attitude era dvd, so it made sense to buy this one too. It's a lot of fun, but not as much as the first one. I really didn't need to see the Evening gown match between Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco ever again. However, this set does do a good job of showcasing some of the lesser names of the era, though I wish there weren't so many screwy finishes.

The Best Era in Sports Entertainment,no doubt about it !
I buy Vol.1 and I loved it,because The Attitude Era is my most favourite period in sports entertainment and I definately remember "the good old days". So when I see that there's a Volume 2,it was mandatory to have it.And I wasn't disappointed at all. The difference between 1 and 2 is that in the second one there are more matches and less vignettes.I'm not the biggest match mark, but I still like them because there's a story behind every one of them. And now you can't see something like a " Casket match" on WWE TV.The DX stuff is fantastic. Like the Mark Henry's "Sexual Chocolate" segments. Funny af.Great blu-ray and everybody who liked The Attitude Era should have it !

A fantastic piece for veterans and newcomers alike.
This one is much, much better than the first volume of the series. It delves into the best parts of the attitude era and shows off all the biggest and best personalities of the era. Great for both the existing fan and those looking for an introduction into one of the best, if not the best era in professional wrestling.

A clustermuck of forgettable matches
A very strange Blu Ray, this one. Unlike Attitude Era Vol. 1, this does not feature a documentary-like aspect to it and therefore the presentation of the matches has absolutely no structure to it. Sunday Night Heat matches, no matter what they are, have absolutely no business on a full price release supposedly celebrating the greatest era in pro wrestling. The interview segments with superstars are abysmal. Billy Gunn talking about his kids?! We want the inside scoop on what went on back then, not happily family life now!Seriously, this is such a lazily put together blu ray, the matches are poor - nobody wanted to see that dreadful evening gown match with Briscoe v Patterson again - there's no structure or interesting narrative and it barely features any of the stars you really want to watch. If you've got the first volume, re-watch that. This is only worth the money if you really want to see a triple threat women's match from Sunday Night Heat. That's right, you don't.
