Very impressed
When I bought this I was not sure what to expect as there were no reviews on this or similar products. I hoped it was a decent quality, but I really didn't expect much because of the size. I bought this to use in my new car as a dash cam with my dvr radio. I received it the following day and it is as small as the picture shows. Connected it straight away to my laptop to see what the quality was like. I was very impressed, very very impressed. The angle is very wide and the quality is very good. It serves the purpose just right. I would recommend anyone looking for a very small camera for any kind of project to go ahead and buy this. You will not be disappointed.

A small footprint with a lot of potential
A remarkably powerful little camera with a tiny footprint. It is a 2 megapixel Full HD 1080p it certainly has a lot going for it in its tiny box which is about 4cm square. I am connecting it to a Microsoft Surface Laptop to record videos of our tortoise table where we are hatching tortoise eggs. I am trying to work it as a motion sensor lens so when the eggs crack filming starts but no luck so far so I might just set up a timer. We have the table set with spotlights for heat and this provides adequate lighting to get a good picture. One of the benefits is having the fisheye lens which enables coverage of the whole table. The future possibilities of this are what makes it interesting. I haven’t begun to discover the full range of what can be done with it. It’s a great time waster, in a good way, and everyday is a learning curve. If you’re looking for a challenge and something to develop then this is a fascinating item. OK, it’s not cheap and I’ve taken one star off for it’s limited appeal but its compact efficiency makes it worth it.

this camra is grate
I acquired this camera as a replacement for my old ELP camera, and I must say it has exceeded my expectations. It captures stunning pictures and is incredibly compact. I primarily use it to live stream my aquarium, allowing me to keep a watchful eye on the fish even when I'm away from home. Furthermore, its versatility makes it a fantastic option for a security camera, with a wide range of lens options available that fit perfectly.

Good camera but dishonest description
Much smaller than I expected, nice wide-view lens and can robustly capture 30 fps video at high quality. However, when using higher acquisition rates, camera starts dropping frames. With 800x600 could still achieve around 59 fps which is relatively close to the claimed 60, but when trying to acquire at the supposed 120 fps camera was actually capturing at around 42. Although it is a neat and cheap camera, 3 stars for not being able to do what is claimed.

Good for Zoom/Skype/Teams video meetings but need separate Mic.
The fish eye lens gives a very wide angle of view and so you can get everyone in without them being too far back. I connected my old Logitech cam as well and selected the microphone from that.

Okay
This camera is available in two forms: a module configuration, which consists of a circuit board with the camera mounted, or in a small metal box. It is aimed at those seeking a specific application. This could involve installation into a project or using the simple box camera as a webcam in conjunction with a separate microphone. The benefit of using a standalone microphone is the improved audio quality compared to the integrated microphones found in combined webcams. In terms of usability, the camera is very straightforward. It comes with a long cable and a traditional USB connection (USB 2.0 A), making it plug-and-play compatible with Windows and Linux. The choice of lens is also important. A fisheye lens offers a rounded appearance and a wider field of view, while the two options of 2.1mm and 3.6mm lenses provide a more traditional webcam-like perspective. Your choice will depend on your preferences and needs. The price reflects that this is a more specialized product. However, based purely on price, it competes with many similar cameras that offer full HD resolution or better. As always, it's worth checking Amazon for other products and comparing options.

Good Camera For Project Use
It does what it says on the box without fuss. * MPEG offers reasonable image quality but for the best quality (although at a much lower framrate) use YUY2 instead. * Comes with a 1M USB lead. * Lens mounting thread is fairly standard and you can easily source ones with different focal lengths. Notes: * As with all cameras of this type, beware of getting dust/contamination on the sensor whern changing the lens. * You may need to tighten up the two screws holding the lens bracket to the PCB. I have a few of these cameras, and on some the screws were loose making getting a reliable focus difficult until I realised what the problem was. * The latest hardware does not match the image shown with the lens mounting being slightly longer and does not have a lens locking screw. The lens is 'fixed' in position by a waxy material that resists movement in the screw but still allows the focus to be changed. That means that if you need to change the lens (as I do) then you will need to source some more of the 'wax' or devise some other means of securing the lens in position.

Awesome little camera
Awesome little camera. I use the CL-Eye Test software, Software I had used prior to buying this and only cost $1.99. Plug in and play, clear video and the wide angle works great.

I thought that this was a great camera to use for raspberry pi projects. I created a motion sensing camera with this that when someone walks by it will snap a picture of them. This camera works great for taking pictures. I was also impressed with the picture quality that it gives. I would say that one draw back of it would have to be that you need external light since it does not do very well in low lit applications.

The lens gives a usefully wide field of view, and can be swapped for other M12 lenses if needed. Image quality is good. Works out of the box with supported resolutions.

Due to COVID-19, web cams are priced 3X their normal price and my application for a camera is OctoPi so I can keep an eye on my 3D printer, I don't need sound. So I opted for this camera. Horrible quality. Also, OctoPi isn't able to reduce the frame rate and I had to add `additional_brokenfps_usb_devices=("32e4:9230")` to `/boot/octopi.txt` in order to get it to work at all. The picture has green, horizontal lines that flash in and out at random places. Ugh. This rating form asks me to score its "Sheerness". Not sure what that is, so, average, I guess. The circuit board is pretty thin though, so, I guess 4 stars for "Thickness", lol. On the plus side, I tested it on Mac and on Linux and in both cases, no additional drivers were required. The fisheye lens adds a lot of distortion, but in my case, it allows me to see nearly the whole print bed, so, that's a plus. I literally would not use this camera for any other application and, TBH, once the pandemic passes and WebCam prices return to something resembling sanity, I'll likely replace this.

Awesome Camera. I was looking for a USB board camera that was Mac compatible for the lognest time and was so happy when I came across this. Works well on Mac OSX. Has the ability to switch between 1080p and 720p and the video feed is consistent and stable. The lens is a standard S mount lens and has a screw on the mount so you can fix the focus without worrying about it going out of focus.
