OREI 4K HDMI Matrix Switch 4 X 2, Switcher 18G UltraHD with Arc Supports upto 4K @ 60Hz & 1080P IR Remote Control - Full Matrix Selection (UHD-402)

I needed to switch my 4K HDMI cameras and split them and this works well for that. Having the switch and splitter in the same unit is more liable and has much less wire mess. I personally prefer the plastic HDMI switchers and splitters because they don't scratch things. I do wish it has RS-232. I don't like how channel 1 is on the front, I wish it was channel 4. Orei is an American company, so that alone is a good reason to chose them.

This is exactly what I needed. I have a ps5 and a xbox connected to a gaming monitor, but I wanted to be display on the tv as well. This HDMI was able to do what I want it. Now I can switch the xbox or ps5 to either the monitor or the tv or both at the same time or one on the tv and the other on the monitor or vice-versa. I takes a little to memorize which setting to use, it has 4 options for each output, but after figure out. The HDMI matrix adjust by itself to the resolution and picture quality there no need to configure by yourself like other ones out there. Also, it has a remote so you can change it from far if your want to have a clean setup and is harder to reach.

It is easy to install and setup. However, some glitch when using it with Apple TV. Not sure why. I have plugin Xiaomi Box (similar to Amazon Fire), Apple TV and Nintendo Switch. Whenever I put the selection to Apple TV, when I either switch to other input on TV and back, or simply turn off the TV and turn it on back, the Apple TV signal becomes running up and down. I have to cycle through the HDMI selector and back to Apple TV one, then it appears correctly. The weird part it doesn't happen with the Xiaomi Box.

I bought I to use as an hdmi splitter (1 apple tv 4k to 2 tvs) and it works perfect for my use.

Works good. Great picture. Takes a little too long to switch for me. I will try with remote to see if that helps. D

The buttons to switch inputs don’t register presses most of the time. It seems like it has trouble letting go of the channel it’s on. Especially if that channel has a signal going to it. It’s nice when it works but when it doesn’t I could seriously change out the cables in less time…if I were to buy again I’d spend a little more….but who knows if that would solve anything.

I used to yank cables between my classroom projector and classroom TV in order to direct students' attention between paper document camera demonstrations and computer demos, and now it's beautiful! I switch and duplicate displays at the push of buttons! One super pleasant surprise is that the matrix WILL extend computer displays! I have a desktop and laptop, and each computer can extend each desktop. Then, at the push of two buttons, voilà, swapped displays! (You just cannot extend to two displays, i.e. 1 computer to 3 desktops.) I also love the fact that there are hardware swap buttons on the matrix device itself because the remote is small enough to lose. Definitely a great buy for a techie teacher!

If you plan on using this in a rack with IR control, give up right now. This product never should have been released. Switching times for both manual and IR control are so slow, you will believe you have received a defective product. You cannot find this product on the OREI site anymore for sale... for good reason. Buy the more expensive UHDS-402A if you want an Orei product, but only if you are sure you do not need any tech support. Read my review on the aforementioned replacement regarding Orei tech support. I am using a avedio links 4K@60Hz 4x2 HDMI Matrix Switch instead. It is Chinese made, but works well so far.

Having had a previous 4x2 splitter i was after one that would allow Virgin uHD to work on both outputs. This does it for all inputs to all outputs very happy

Probably the best switcher I have used so far. I've had a few different ones over the years and recently got a soundbar with Atmos so I needed a switcher with ARC. After trying a few with bad results I found this one and it works great. As a bonus it has duel output so you can have 2 screens and play any of the inputs or either screen at the same time

I had only one Arc port in my Sony HT A9 speaker system and wanted to connect my tv and projector to it. This product is one of the few products that is able to provide one arc bridge as well an extr la our port to help me connect both the tv as projector. Though I have had to use a workaround to get this done but this product is a perfectly priced solution. Also the one day delivery was the cherry on the cake! Do remember that the matrix takes about 30: seconds to recognise a signal so some patience is required when switching between devices.

So the switch does redirect inputs from multiple devices to different monitors. I have a laptop, desktop PC and PS5, which I route through the switch to two monitors. The switch enables me to reroute each device to a monitor of my choice. However, there are issues with the switch. The first issue is that both the buttons on the switch and the remote that comes with it are very unresponsive. Sometimes I click to switch the inputs / outputs and it works first time, but more often than not it can take anywhere from 2 to 5 clicks to get it to respond. The second issue is there are some combinations of input output that cause a persistent flicker on one of the monitors. When I have the desktop PC playing through Monitor 1, and the laptop through Monitor 2, the second monitor flashes on and off ever few seconds. I will be continuing to use it, but the above issues are quite irritating, hence the 3 star rating I gave it.

It works great it let me pick what I want my tv and monitor. It is a great product to help with all the wires.
