I got it to keep track of my bearded dragons tank temperatures in case I need to adjust the lamps, and so far it works exactly how I expected. It doesn't work through the glass (obviously) but threw the open top it does a good job when pointed directly at the basking slate. A cheap and simple good buy.

I liked the price the most. So much, that I bought two. So far, so good.
