I personally found the application easy, I cut the pieces I wanted down to size, and used lots of soapy water in the window. This prevented it from sticking and allowed me to slide it into place, and remove any bubbles with a card. I personally think even the way the sun catches the film in the window is really pretty. Not sure it would function really well as a privacy film, the radial one is almost entirely see through, but again I just wanted rainbow so I'm happy with it as it is! It seems very expensive for me to buy to use one year if i'm going to be moving apartments.** A: Yes these types of films are long-lasting and reusable. That is if you only use water to a fix it to the glass. If you use glue then you have to wash and scrape it off and you'll lose it. The only place I experienced damage was when placing on a sheet of glass out in the Sun and rain. Rain got behind it and it would keep pealing off so I put some glue after a year in the Sun and rain the portion where I put glue caused the rubber film too breakdown and become yellow and cracky. Next time I would have just used a small beat of super glue on the top edge then if you lose any it's only a very small portion maybe a 1/2 inch or so only on the top edge. The film on the inside of our house is easy to be removed and put in other places and has lasted for more than 2 years now. **Q: Is this item anti uv? does it block uv rays?** A: I don’t know for sure, but I would seriously doubt it. It’s just decorative and really cool. **Q: Does this block uv rays? if so i’m worried my plants behind my windowsill would wilt :(** A: This film does not block UV rays. Unfortunately I won't be able to reuse it as I'm afraid as I stick it to the window once it will come off it will be in peaces. I've tried to apply it as per instruction but once wet it won't stick at all. This is not the static window film, this is just regular holographic clear sticker.
