I was very nervous when it first came because it is so small. But I really needed a long-term solution for multiple days for my flock. I have 25 chickens and was going to be gone for four days, the neighbor will watch them, but I wanted peace of mind. It does hold the full 50 pounds and I was able to make it five days before refilling. Excellent product.

This is an excellent feeder. We loved it so much we got a second one to help spread the chickens out. There is minimal waste from it and it can really hold a lot of feed. We have been able to go on trips and this still had feed in it when we came back after three days. It's fairly stable, but we did end up raising it just a bit on some old 2x4s to stabilize it on uneven ground. Would definitely recommend.

This feeder is excellent for my smaller size flock (7 hens). There are only three feeding spots so it may not meet the needs of larger flocks. I have used it in the coop and in the run. I did not put 50 lbs or even close to that amount of feed in so can't comment on capacity as it would take forever for my birds to eat that much. The main reason I purchased this product was for a rain proof feeder and it works beautifully for this! I live in Western Washington and it has been very rainy this year. Feed was completely dry even in heavy rain. I also notice very little to no spillage/waste with it. It's easy to fill and easy for my hens to use. It was bigger than I expected. I have average size hens (Barred Rocks, Wyandottes, Rhode Island Red). It may be more difficult for smaller breeds, species, or younger birds to use. I would definitely buy again even though a bit higher in price as it worked perfectly for my needs and is sturdy enough to last.

I liked this so much that I bought a second one. Chicken feeding is one and done (for awhile). No waste. Chickens figured it out within minutes. No assembly. Just take it out of the box and pour a whole bag of feed into the feeder. Well made. Sturdy.

The feeder isn’t as good as the water, but I still like it! Great for leaving the girls and easily holds a full bag of feed. We put the fever on a platform to slightly raise the feeding level. Bugs do get into the feedback the chickens eat them too. We love the water and that was the reason we purchased the feeder No waste!

This has been great for my run. I have a small flock of 5. They have a small-ish covered run and this sits in that space 24/7. I can fill this with enough feed for two weeks or so. I propped it up on a cinder block and it’s perfect for my girls. No mess. Easy to refill. I even hose it off when I clean the run and the water stays out as long as I don’t spray directly at the food openings. Worth the investment!

Love these feeders!! Keeps feed dry and very little waste when using these feeders. Works best if you place them on bricks to elevate slightly. 👍 Have two of these here at JS Farms and we have been well pleased.

100% recommend for purchasing. Our chickens are MESSY. Previously, we were going through a 50 lb bag once a week for our 10 chickens because of how much leakage there was in our old feeder. They are unable to spill food out of this one which has saved us so much money. It’s easy to fill, large in size, and extremely functional for everyday use. It can be a bit expensive, but worth every penny for all the money saved.

This feeder is working as described. It eliminates the feed waste and mess. It is made of a durable plastic, but as we all know, it is definitely not indistructable, and if given the opportunity rats could chew through it. Would love to find this design made of metal!! But until then, this feeder I give a 5 star.

This has solved my food waste problem! My chickens were so fussy with their food half of it ended up on the floor. I tried 3 different feeder style and the waste continued until I bought this. So easy to fill, easy to clean and not one single scrap of waste in 2 weeks - ok delighted!

This has been a game changer! Fits a whole bag of feed. My chickens figured out how to use it the first day. It is in the run and didn’t get wet when it rained!

This chicken feeder was not cheap the chicken food I put into it was not cheap, very disappointing to fine that the container allows the food to go mouldy and so having to waste more money throwing out the feed 😕
