good mat. smells weird but nothing a bit of soap and water can't fix. i will buy another

I got this to setup an ESD station in my garage to work on computers and audio electronics. In comparison to the higher end ESD mats I’ve seen it holds up well. It’s the largest size mat at the best price I could find. It’s relatively strong against surface markings (was moving a PC case around on it), but still easy to cut to size if you need to modify the large sheet. It cleans up easy too, and when you unroll it initially it doesn’t maintain the curled form. I highly recommend it if you need a large ESD mat, or a roll that you can cut up for specific applications.

This is my second purchase of this ESD mat from this seller. The first purchase (2022) did have a rubber odor. It was tolerable & dissipated within a couple of days.. I did not understand the complaints until I purchased my second one in Sep 2023. The second mat did not look the same as the first one I purchased in 2022, this one had a glossy finish versus the matte finish that I received in 2022. I completely understand the complaints of the cigarette odor, it is absolutely unbearable. I tried to let it air out for 4 days in my garage, and my garage still smelled of cigarettes. I also placed in a trash bag filled with baking soda for a couple of days, and it did nothing to remove the odor. I am a pretty forgiving customer when it comes to products, but I have to draw the line with this one since I can not even use it. I now have it in the sun as a last resort, but I can not give this a positive review since it costing me time and energy to just be able to use it.

The product feels durable, also easy to cut, it arrives as a roll but doesn't keep the roll shape, the only downside is that it really stinks as other commented. I'm looking for a solution for the smell.

I love the dark green color. Looks great on my wood workbench. Has some blemishes but fortunately the inclusions I ran into were in the last two feet so I could cover my 8' bench top with no inclusion defects. The edge is also very straight so the fit is very nice. This is a very good value. I'm very satisfied.

My workbench has a wood surface and I wanted something more electronics friendly. This roll works perfectly. Easy to install, did not keep the roll shape it was shipped in. Easy to clean and find parts on.

Works great as a pad for my home solder station. There was a smell when I first received it, but the smell dissipated in short amount of time.

Made from heavily outgassing material. Produces awful smell upon application and after 3 years is starts to disintegrate with top surface becoming sticky. I believe it may be harmful for humans and animals respiratory system due to heavy outgassing unless installed in garage or outdoor tool shed. Avoid.

I bought this stuff for my bench at work. I was using a smaller older mat that was blue but it was very old, dirty and had a cut through it. My bench has two sides so I ordered this roll thinking I would completely cover one side and use the left over stuff for the other side. This worked. One side is completely covered (76" wide), the other side has the leftover stuff that is still bigger than the mat I had there. It's nice and thick with a foam rubber backing. There is no connection for a ground cable. But I think an alligator clip and wire will work fine for that. Had to cut it anyway so one of them wouldn't have had a connection anyway. One little beef. Green isn't my colour.
