Really nice portable Bluetooth speaker. The battery on it last quite a while. You can get a good 3 hours out of this thing before it dies. I use it to teach some of my dance classes when I don't feel like carrying in big equipment, but I also use it at home just to listen to a little bit of music or YouTube videos in my living room wgile cleaning or hosting company. I like the color effects. And I like the option of Aux in, memory card, usb, bluetooth. This thing all around does what it's supposed to do and has many nice features. Why buy one of those expensive ones when you can get something like this that doesn't cost an arm and a leg and it's pretty loud too.

Really works well, though has some quirks. I put music on a flash drive, and found out quickly that it only reads .mp3 files. No problem, there are converters. I now have five flash drives full of music, each with a different type of music. The remote IS useful, because that's the ONLY way you can get to a specific piece of music in the middle without hitting the "next item" button a zillion times. I have 717 pieces of music on one of the flash drives. I indexed it by album/folder so I'd have some idea of what number to use. No, this boom box/speaker does NOT give you the names of anything, but it WILL give you the number that IT assigned to a specific piece of music.Sound is good, and can get quite loud. I usually have it to half volume or a bit less. I currently have it charging off of the solar power brick/battery.I can't tell you about FM radio, because I don't live close enough to one to pick up broadcast. I also can't tell you about bluetooth or connecting to various phones because I don't have those.What I got it for was that it would run for about 10 hours unplugged (I've had it to six before I decided not to run it down all the way) and could be charged up by my solar power set up. Works well with that. (Last long power outage, during the bomb cyclone we had a couple months ago, 3 1/2 days, got really tedious without any music.)

Nothing extra special about this speaker. It works well for my son, for his first one. One thing I will say is the remote was pointless, it doesn’t work unless you are very close up on the speaker, pointing at it. The lights are nice, it’s loud enough, just wish you could adjust the bass some.

Inexpensive fair sound quality blue tooth and FM RadioIf someone steals it at the beach you won’t be upset.The led lights will turn off with the remote. Nit recommended if your seizure prone.

Sound flat, no bass so not a boom box, just a box. Battery life very short with no lights and shorter with lights. Mine is going to the donation box to the church because its too late for a return. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS. IGNORE THE GOODS REVIEWS.

I bought this speaker to replace an older one whose batteries were dying out. This was more expensive than the old $40 unit I had, so perhaps I was expecting an improvement in sound quality. My bad.First the good stuff. Delivery was smooth and on time, and the build quality is great. The unit has a nice weight to it, with a nice rugged handle. It's more than a foot wide and stands almost 8 inches tall. Good body.FM reception is very good - one of my key points. It was able to capture some weak stations and still deliver decent sound. All this without a telescopic antenna that might break or needs to be pulled in and out. Nice.Battery life was great, and for the few days I used it I didn't have to recharge at all. The 8,000 mAh claim is believable.The remote is quite nice. Unlike the flat tablet remotes with all the same buttons, this one is ergonomic and fits well in the hand. The buttons are well places and the main ones like power, volume and channels can easily be found in the dark just by feeling the remote.Now the bad stuff. What's up with the flashing lights? The thing just goes blazing when you turn it on, dazzling from all sides. Okay, it says you can turn it off by holding down the Mode button. I promptly did that, but guess what? When you turn it off and on, there go the lights again! There is no way I have to take an extra step of turning off disco lights every time I have to listen to this thing. There has to be a way to KEEP the lights off unless I'm about to throw a party.The other disappointment was the sound. For such a sturdy machine the sound is underwhelming. It's not bad, but definitely not something I want to listen to for many hours. I was able to improve it a little with the equalizer on AUX mode, but still not great.Finally, I was just a bit peeved that Amazon dropped the price by more than $10 just after I bought it. Waaah!Sorry, sending it back.
