I'm tempted to purchase, but have read that the screws that come with the frame do not fit US models. Has this been rectified?

This product was perfect for me, I bought this a while ago for my Porsche Cayenne and it fit perfectly. I can't remember if the screws fit since I bought it A LONG time ago, I'm pretty sure I had no problems. I loved it.
