I bought this adapter for my new Canon R6 because the Canon version was backordered everywhere. This worked perfectly right out of the box. I used it with my EF 50 mm 1.2L version lens and my EF 85 1.8 and both fit well, with no wobble/play and focused fast and perfectly. I am blown away by the performance and sharpness of these lenses on the mirrorless camera using this adapter! I don't have a long zoom lens, so I'm not sure how it would perform with a longer/heavier lens. Price was about half of the Canon version and I don't see any reason to buy the Canon one even when it is available. I don't have any need (currently) for the tripod adapter, so I took it off easily. You simply unscrew it with a small screw driver. Very pleased with my purchase!

So this was an easy fix for me until I can afford to buy an RF mount lens for my canon rp. I did a lot of research on all of the brands who sell these adapters to make sure I was getting the best deal for my dollars. (I really could not see myself buying the commlite or canon brands because that money could just go to my new lens!) I’m not quite sure why everyone keeps talking about light leaks, I have not experienced that and I have shot in all hours of the day. It works flawlessly with my canon ef 24mm lens. But I usually use my sigma ef 10-20mm lens, with the adapter on my canon rp. What I wish I could have seen someone write about when I was shopping around, was that the canon rp can crop its sensor to ef lenses. So no, I do not see the vignette from my lens when I use this adapter. I was able to crop my camera in the settings. But when it comes to video recording, it does not crop your sensor anymore with the lens so you can see the vignette. It’s also kinda noisy (as in actual sounds, not grain). But overall my photos come out sharp and beautiful still.1 thing I would have really liked is if the adapter was smaller. The adapter is literally bigger than my 24mm lens.

This adapter works well at room temperature and has a quality build, but it doesn't work at lower temperatures. Below 15 C or 60 F, the camera cannot recognize the lens due to bad contacts, which causes autofocus and aperture settings to stop working. It's disastrous because the camera will get a communication error and won't release the shutter, so you cannot shoot at all.This means you cannot shoot with this adapter outdoors half of the time in a year. Reading other people's comments I noticed it's a common issue for this product, but not many people realized it's the temperature causing this.

Tight fit between my R7, all my lenses and the adapter.No problem with autofocus and exifdata.At a price Canon never will come close to or try to match.

The media could not be loaded. The Drop-in Filter Mount Adapter (not weather seal) and the filters are well made. If you have a Canon or Meike adapter like me (EF-EOS R), the filters do not fit inside, this is only if you want to use them for Canon or Meike, these JJC filters are a little thick and even if you want to improvise, nothing will work. So don't waste your time and money trying (clarified: only the filters for other drop-in adapters) on those from other companies.Thanks and take care!

It is snug and secure against both the camera body and the lens, it feels the same as a lens attached directly to a body.Not sure that I'll ever use the tripod foot. but it is removable.

Good prduct, works flawlessly.

I now have two of these. On one, the removable foot is essential for my Sigma 14mm f/1.8.They do fit VERY snugly! The Canon OEM adapter fits as it should. These are really too tight but I don't take them off/on very frequently.
