Our geriatric 80-lb lab tends to slip, slide, and generally bounce around a bit in the back seat on car rides (it’s even worse in the cargo compartment), and I’ve been noticing his increasing anxiety and discomfort as he’s getting older, less agile, and sore with age. After doing some product research, I decided to buy this “box” type seat for him, hoping to give him a sense of added security and to minimize the amount of counterbalancing and bracing he has to do in order to stabilize himself under normal driving conditions.The seat itself is plug and play straight out of the box. Holy smokes, though, getting the dog into it was no easy feat! As it stands, my lab is far too large and heavy for me to lift and put into the seat over the side of the seat’s walls, like some reviewers report doing with their smaller dogs. So, with one of the headrest strap buckles undone and the seat walls essentially collapsed on three sides, it took some coaxing and manual repositioning of both the dog and the seat to get him to understand where and how I wanted him to be in order to fit inside this new contraption.Once he figured it out though (and that he was supposed to stay in it instead of crawling out onto the seat as soon as I shut the door), I’m happy to say that he did physically fit inside of this seat, including being able to more or less curl up laying down in it without being overly cramped. While my dog did seem to appreciate the added stability of being able to brace against four fabric walls tightly surrounding him (a welcome change from the relative vast open space of an otherwise unoccupied back seat of a small SUV), getting him in and out is going to take some time to get used to for both of us. This really, really, really needs a way to drop the sides without unbuckling it from the headrests to be a truly usable product.Honestly, I’m hoping that this seat will solve the dilemma of how to comfortably fit two teenagers and a Labrador into the backseat without all three complaining of having no room for butts and legs, lol! The plan is to put this seat contraption in the middle between the two kids so as to span the gap between the seat and the center console, thus turning the otherwise unusable for the dog footwell space into a flat “extended seat” surface he can lay on. We’ll see how well this works on the next road trip! Will update after some more use.

I saw this on a non-sponsored post on social media and someone in the comments identified the brand. I previously had a back seat hammock for my 45 lb dog but hate that it took up the whole back seat. It basically prevented me from using the back seat as storage at all, with or without the dog in the car!As other reviewers have mentioned, the only downside to this is that you either have to lift the dog up and over the sides each time or unclip the front from the headrest and fold the sides down. My dog doesn't go in the car every day so I'm fine doing either, but something to note if you have a much bigger dog or will be using it multiple times per day.I got the large and my dog has plenty of space to move around and lay down. I haven't quite gotten the length right for the seat belt harness; it's either too long or too short but am going to keep experimenting.It was really easy to put together and came with simple instructions in English.The bottom is quite hard/firm so I did add a blanket for it to be more comfortable.My dog tried to get out at first but then he got the hang of it. On the way home from our park outing he laid down and relaxed.

This would be perfect if I had a car. I currently have an SUV and a lazy entitled dog who requires to be picked up! If my dog maybe jumped in this would’ve been the perfect solution to the mounds of dog hair she leaves in the cargo area! This is a great product! I just don’t have a willing dog. 10/10 would buy if my circumstances were different lol

Bought this for our 60 lb Bluetick coonhound. He used to use a full sized hammock in the back seat but now that he has to share the back seat with our one month old, we needed something smaller but large enough to hold him. This thing is a good size and was very simple to install. His Royal Houndness is a little salty about having half the space that he’s used to, but maybe a bed in there might help with that, like he had in his big hammock (I just need to find one that fits, or just say screw it and sew one).The only thing I don’t like about the hammock is that it doesn’t have a door. Now, I saw in other reviews that it doesn’t have a door so I knew that when I bought it, but I figured I could just unhook one side and drop it down so he can hop in, no big deal. But the lack of a door bothers me a little more than I thought it would. He has a bit of a hard time getting in because it doesn’t really drop down the whole way, so he has to jump up into our SUV and then climb in. But the hammock itself is sturdy, and I worry more about my boys being safe in the car than I do about a zipper door, so I’ll live with it. All in all, would recommend for larger pups.

This is the only car seat that has kept my nearly 70lb anxious rescue pup in his place, and he’s comfortable enough to curl up and nap on car rides rather than panting and standing in the back seat stressed out. Very easy to install and remove as needed. I accidentally broke a handful of beer bottles in the seat when I was moving and it contained the mess and was easy to clean as well. I’m sure it works well for pet messes, too lol

Perfect answer to split my 95lbd dobie and 47lb Kelpie in the back seat of my small hatchback. Now they each have their space and the dobie doesn’t accidentally sit on the kelpie and start a fight LOL. We just used it to move cross country and I was able to put a blanket inside and the pup could comfortably curl up inside and sleep. Would give 5 stars if it had some sort of opening for the dog to get in more easily instead of having to leap inside it. Though she got used to it. Bought another one for my husbands truck and it’s great there, too.

Connect this to the headrest front and back for install. Next connect the harness tether to a seatbelt buckle and your all set. The small is the perfect size for our 2 dogs who are both under 35 lbs.We bought one and now bought our second to replace an old car seat. Make sure to disconnect before moving seat around then reconnect once repositioned. Wife forgot and now we need to stitch up one corner that is coming loose.

Mi perro es una cruza de schnauzer y es más largo y más alto de lo que debería aún así le queda muchísimo espacio y eso esta increíble porque no lo limita a un espacio reducido, mi esposo está encantado porque”Maui” ya no anda de un lado a otro maltratando la piel de los asientos y yo siento que todos vamos más seguros porque al ponerle la pechera y asegurar su cinturón en caso de choque a él también lo detiene y ya no se convierte en proyectil, también de algún modo “Maui” se siente más seguro, ya no muestra ansiedad en los recorridos, de verdad que a todos nos ha encantado pues Maui es un niño más para nosotros y así nos facilita mucho su transportación!!Mi perro no se hace del baño en el camino, así que no se que tan eficiente en cuánto a ser impermeable o no, en el caso de Maui casi no suelta pelito y es un perrito de cas y muy limpio por lo que con solo un trapito húmedo lo limpio fácilmente! 😉

This would have been perfect with a zipper door of some kind to let our 50lbs aussie get in and out more easily that having to unbuckle the front every time.

This is great , I love it but it needs a door on it it is a hassle to get my dog out of it .

This is a good item with nice shape and contains the dog pretty well inside the car. However, there is no feature that allows the dog to easily enter/exit the seat. To have the dog to enter/exit, we have to remove the buckle from the front seat's head rest and lower the item's front part so that the dog can move in or out of the seat. This is not an ideal design. Would have been better off if there were a "likeness of door" on each side which could be opened and closed (either Velcro or zipper can be used to secure the door in place.

acheter pour essayer d'enlever l'anixété de mon chien en voiture. j'ai tout essayé et elle vomit à chaque fois si on voyage plus de 15 minutes.. donc, je cherchais quelque chose pour protéger les bancs de la voiture, qui retiendrait les vomis dans un endroit relativement restreint et qui serait facile à nettoyer. qui me permetterait aussi davoir accès au reste du siège arrière mais qui serait assez grand pour un berger autralient miniature de 30 livres. jusqu'à maintenant, je suis super satisfaite. non seulement, c'est facile d'installation, confortable pour le chien, sécuritaire parce que le chien peut être attacher. et facile à nettoyer en cas de dégât. c'est léger à transporter si on le déplace. mon chien semble s'y sentir en sécurité, donc un peu moins de réaction en voiture. mais peut toujours regarder par la fenêtre et peut s'installer dans le sens qu'elle désire. contrairement à la cage, ou elle devait être dans le sens des bancs. bref, je recommande. il est assez grand pour des chiens plus grand que le mien.
