I honestly think this thing is great. I recommend it to the other fish tank nerds I know as one of the top tools I've bought. It's very easy to control how much comes out, where it goes, and even suck things back up. The little roller for controlling the piston, which then controls the water going in or out works great. I have used basic basters, the fancy super long basters, and even bought the two little fishies contraption. This is the only one I use now because it's easy to use and accurate. And then above all that it's cheap. 2 for $20. I personally never use it with the rubber tip on, since I don't ever need that much accuracy, and if I did I'd just hold the feeder over the coral or whatever and let the food come out.

Wish they were just a few inches longer to reach the bottom of my tank to spot feed my goby without getting my hands wet, but overall preformance and price are great

Went together easy. Perfect for getting food down to coral deep in tank. It does have a design issue. The compression fitting that holds tube in place is not near long enough to hold tube securely. It kept slipping out of fitting. My fix was to use a couple of heat shrink tubes to overwrap the tube and compression nut. Have not had the tube slip out again.

This should be a must have for every reef keeper. I’m surprised it’s not in every LFS. The precision of the thumb wheel is night and day. Fantastic coral feeder.

This product works well I like the dial feature. But the way it is constructed both were broken on the tops. That did not affect the function.and the way the plastic insert sticks in to the suction mechanism is flimsy at best. But u get what u pay for.

Ive been using the turkey baster style feeders for a while now and I finally decided to try something different after the rubber bulb on my last one cracked as usual. The second I got this new feeder I wished that I had bought it years ago. It is amazing. Hands down. It uses a syringe style suction with multiple ways to move the plunger which is a feature that I havent seen before but it works so perfect I would never settle for anything less asfter using this. My review probably seems a little over the top with praise but I really cant explain how much of an upgrade this thing is from my old baster style. You can very precisely control how much gets sucked up and how much gets spit out which is impossible with one of those rubber bulbs. Also this comes with two feeders! 24 bucks seems steep until you realize you are getting two of these things. So if this ever eventually breaks I will have a backup ready to go. If you are thinking about buying this, DO IT. Buy this immediately and never look back. You will wish you bought it sooner.

It is a very simple product that works.. The fact that you get two is a bonus.. this allows me to spot feed my corals and my fish without getting my hands in tank.. A bonus was the ability to maneuver. The wand in through my rocks did allow me to remove any uneaten food as well as shoot streams of water in tight places. I would say if you have a fish aquarium this is definitely a product that you will find useful in many ways…

I need this to both feed my coral as well as use to clear off my coral from debris. I've tried using it several times but it definitely doesn't have the amount of vacuum my previous bulb tube feeders had, not even close. It could be me but I've tried it several times and still get the same results, definitely not impressed so far. Both seemed to do the same thing which was close to nothing. If you have access to bulb tube feeders, stick with them.

I've had this for a year now and it's seen daily use and it's still holding up well. I find that I don't really use the gear wheel or the push button thing, I only use the plunger which my thumb to feed. It ships with two syringes, but I'm still only on the first one and I think it'll probably last me another couple years. I feed brine shrimp and blood worms, so nothing to really damage the syringe. It's really good for target feeding corals because you can put the tip run above the coral to spot feed it. It's also nice not to have to put my hand in the tank when feeding, I can feed, wash the syringe, and then put it away. I haven't had any issues with this coming out or loosening, just make sure when you're assembling the syringe to give the acrylic rod a firm push into the gasket.
