Julius-K9 IDC Neoprene Dog Jacket, Size: Baby 1, Black and Pink

It goes without saying that the quality is excellent and we frequently buy harnesses, leads etc from JULIUS k9. However with this coat, our male dog had nowhere to wee as his manhood was covered by the coat underneath! Maybe we set it up incorrectly but either way he was one very unhappy dog!

Bought the large and it fits a bit big, but still perfectly wearable even with the harness on top - as another reviewer suggested. I read lots of reviews before my purchase as it is very expensive for a dog coat, but i am pleased with my purchase and hope it will last a very long time. Other coats tend to hang down the sides of the dog, but this one is nicely fitted with a massive velcro fastening underneath. This means that more of her fur is covered from the elements. We have been out in very wet weather and where the coat fitted, she was dry underneath - given the all over coverage this is a lot of dry dog, only the legs, chest and head to dry off! My dog also likes to roll in muddy fields and so far it has still kept her dry. It doesn't move about like other coats - even with the rolling about. It also has a nice fluorescent patch on the bottom, so she is visible in the dark (important for me as my dog is black). It is really easy to put on - pop it over the head, position and wrap the velcro together underneath. It also dries very quickly, which is useful. The only thing i would say is that your dog might need to get used to the sound of the velcro pulling apart when you take it off, as it is quite noisy due to it fitting so well. My nervous dog is perfectly fine with it, but it tends to be people, dogs and fireworks that upset her - she knows the coat on means fun time and coat off means a head rub.

Fit is as described, in this case xs. Good. Plenty of leeway.Yellow area at the base of back is stiff material, which does give shape to the jacket, but because it is relatively big on the xs size it makes the whole jacket a bit stiff.Dog seems to like coat except taking it off, does not like sound and feeling of large Velcro strip underneath being opened.Could double as an anxiety jacket as it is a nice snug fit with good support. I let my dog wear it on New Year's eve. Overall a great jacket, good quality, looks good and I am happy with my purchase. Not cheap but I am sure we will get plenty of wear out of it.Delivery quicker than expected.Update: After almost 1 year of use still great, I am even considering buying a second one as it would be missed if we didn't have it any more. Velcro still working, even though it does accumulate some hairs, dirt and grassy bits. Dog got pretty much used to the loud sound when it is opened.One (big) caution though: the "harness" ring came off with very little force (fabric it was sown into ripped). Do not trust this ring as a your single point of restraint. Anyway, a harness will fit over this jacket no problem.

Great jacket. Easily cleaned, dirt washes straight off. I bought the pink coloured jacket and its nice and bright so can be seen at all times of the day/night.My only issue is that due to my dogs measurements the XS would have been to short on her back whereas the small is 7 cm longer and fits perfect from neck to tail, however the XS is too small for her chest circumference and bought the small, it fits her chest but because I have to tighten it as far as it will go the result is a flap hanging down underneath as there is not enough Velcro to attach the remaining flap. I added an extra piece of hi strength Velcro to see if it helps.

Loved the look of this coat...fits great ....until in use . I bought small for the length ..but the under side needs a bit of shaping to allow for boy parts !! It's a shame as not really nice for dog when it covers his bits . So disappointed . Love K9 products but this needs rethinking boys

Nicely made but velcro not strong enough. My dog ran off leaving me behind holding the lead attached to the jacket!

Love the item but had to return as there is a jump in sizing from baby 1 to baby 2.Such a shame because we loved the baby 1.

I've returned the pink jacket it arrived without a metal ring for the lead to attach and I have reordered the same again, will it have the metal ring on the reorder? As I wanted a jacket/harness in one with ability to attach a lead as shown in image?
