Basically 1) let it sit out for 24 hours, or 2) run under water, wring out, let dry. Only option 2 works -- use warm-hot water, wrong dry, put in an area with warm air blowing. Photo shows option 1 on the left side, option 2 on the right.I tacked mine on my wall with some nails with wide heads. No smell at all on the panels & I'm usually REALLY sensitive to smells. Instructions say wait a few days to expand but they only expanded very little.*******PLEASE READ*****You can either use a blow dryer with heat to expand or you can soak in warm/hot water.I chose hot water and in the pictures you can see the results. It expands to the correct size in seconds. Just ring water and blow dry or air dry.Because of this it gets 3 stars due to extra effort.Hope this helps!
