All Plastic, not a fan.
Just received this magnifier , it looks ok, but it’s very light weight, and I do not think it’s Glass at all.I think it’s plastic the magnifier is!I do have a couple of glass ones and this does not come close. At the bottom there is a small circular mag that doesMagnify stronger, but for me I think it’s annoying.Around the larger mag it’s a cheap plastic , as is the silver color handle. The handle has a button to press that turns on the light under the handle, the light comes in handy. This also comes with a little plastic cover with a plastic magnifier to keep in your purse or wallet for a man. It’s very light weight , and I like it.I think this is over priced for what it is, All plastic. Probably would not last long like a real glass mag will last for years. That said, a child would like this that likes to look closer at bugs , flowers, science etc, or has a eye problem.

Decent plastic magnifying glass, works great for kids use, illumination awkward
Decent handheld magnifying glass. Has 2x or 4x magnification. Made of acrylic material. Perfect for young kids use.We homeschool and a decent magnifying glass can be used in many of our science exploration projects. We were very excited to have the 2 LED lights are advertised as soft. And they are definitely NOT! they are set in a manner where they do not illuminate the paper but do blind anyone trying to work with you.Using them without the lights works okay for our outdoor projects. They are lightweight and seem study, made of unbreakable ABS.My grandsons love using them on all the treasures they find outside: leaves, rocks, bugs, pine ones, pine needles, etc.

works well
Just what I needed as I deny the fact that I should get some glasses in the near future. The light is enough to make reading easier in the evening. It is small enough to tuck in my nightstand or leave on an end table. It is also small enough to toss into my bag for travel, on a plane, or if I think I might need it to read a menu or that back of a package in the grocery store. Overall, happy with it.

Very helpful for those with low vision
Makes seeing small print (that being relative) much easier. And the built in lighting makes it even better for low lighting in areas where you don’t control the lights. I love it!

When you think you have seen it all...here is a way to make it larger!
Opening the package was the hardest part of setting up this Magnifying Glass! Just be careful in pulling apart the package so that you do not accidentally harm the glass. Also, observe that the extra piece which is intended for seniors is not thrown away by mistake!Setting up the light is very simple, pull the plastic tab which keeps the battery fully charged until you are ready to use the system. At first you will not really know how to turn on the light or turn it off. There is a button that if you push the top in it will turn on and then when you are ready to turn off push the same button at the bottom.Magnification is great and you have two ways to use it. The main glass is one and there is a circle near the bottom and that is for stronger looks. This is really very handy for seniors who are trying to read instructions which are printed on other things which are so tiny and even bi-focals will not help!Really we like this and highly recommend!

Handy for Map Reading
I'm the map reader when we travel. It seemed that the print on maps was getting harder and harder to read, so I wanted a really good magnifying glass to keep in the car. This one should do the trick. It has 2 little led lights and 2 magnification levels. Even if it is getting dark, I can shine the light on the map without bothering the driver. The large part of the magnifying glass should work for most situations and the small bi-focal lens part will help me decipher the tiniest print. The whole thing is pretty lightweight and should tuck easily into the pocket on the car door. It comes with 2 LR1130 batteries in the handle. If I should ever need to replace those, it requires a tiny screwdriver to open the battery compartment. Probably the ones we use with our computers should work for that. I like that they put the battery info on the handle so you know what you will need. Also in the pack was a magnifier the size of a credit card with a protective sleeve. I'll keep that in my purse for reading product labels in stores.
