The Cigar finish is a bit on the cheap side looks wise for such an expensive product. The construction is sound. My issue came up with customer service which is a bit surprising - it's made in the U.S. which is one reason I bought it. I would have expected them to be bit more responsive. We are renovating and I lost the remote somehow. I contacted them weeks ago and offered to pay for a new one with no response. It's not at all convenient to use the cabinet without it. If they don't respond to this comment, as they haven't with my trying to contact them directly, I'll have to try to figure out a way to create a new remote workaround, which I'm not sure I can do. We did a lot of research on this before purchasing it and would recommend you buy the component shelf because if you have cable there is no way to use the remote without it unless you buy the infrared.
