A: No I wouldn’t think so but I like them bigger, think it would be too tight for a 44in chest. 
I think ex large would be better.

I am delighted with this hoodie. It’s a good fit at XXL, much better than the supermarkets, because the arms are actually long enough! The goldy yellow colour is amazing. Seems well made. Only tiny issue is, I’ve given it a quick wash in the machine and it’s put thousands of yellow bobbles on my navy uniform. I hope that wears off. On the whole very pleased. It’s warm too and the zip is good quality.
