Fantastic history of magic and the occult
I just finished reading this and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a great summary of the entire history of magic and the occult (and other religions) and was immensely informative. It's a quality book with very nice pictures that covered a lot of topics. It gives you a good overview without going into too much detail that would make it boring or harder to read, like a lot of these history book are. It's the pictures though that made this book. I felt like I was back in school studying to be an archeologist or historian - it is like a textbook in many ways. It's great to see visuals of everything that are describing and really added to the enjoyment of reading this.

Fantastic Library Addition
A History of Magic, Witchcraft, and the Occult was a spectacular addition to my library! I originally listened to it on audiobook, where I was fascinated by the vastness of included information relating to a multitude of cultures, religions, and regions. I wanted to share parts of the book, and that is when I looked up the physical version. WORTH IT! The layout is incredible, and the imagery in the entire book is spectacular. Not only is the text intriguing, the images throughout the book deepen understanding and relation to the historical context. It's also been a great resource for homeschool studies of various cultures throughout history. Would purchase again, and highly recommend to anyone with interests beyond modern day paganism.

Lots Of Great History!
There's soooo much to this book! It's not overwhelming, it feels like reading either a textbook from school or those educational animal books for kids - lots of pictures to show various objects, historical paintings, covers or title pages of old texts, very helpful. It was easy to stop and start again when I had more time. There's a LOT of info in here, it's a great beginner's introduction to the occult.

confused
All the books I am getting the pages are wavy, why? I just ordered a bunch of different books from different people. and they are all weather damaged. The pages (both hard back and paperback) are wavy, which happens when the books are in a moist area too long. And two where left o u t s i d e in the rain, the d r i v e r never told me they where there. And the books where only protracted by a thin paper. But I do not recall which two books it was. But all the books the pages are wavy. The paper the books are made out of are cheap ad will not last long, if they are already deformed - all the books should be new. I have not yet read any of the books as I have heavy books sitting on top of them all trying to flatten the books

Amazing book about the general historic of occultism
It goes into all cults & occultism an breaks it down with colorful pages that light up their wording.

Perezoso, simple, aburrido y generalista.
Si quieres profundizar en el tema no lo recomiendo. Es un libro hecho a las prisas y con descripciones MUY breves de cada tema; adornado con imágenes bonitas y un diseño atractivo, pero nada más que eso. A parte muchos hablan de errores e incoherencias en la información, personalmente puedo decir que Wikipedia profundiza mucho mejor en cada tema, por ejemplo ¿hablar de los judíos sin hablar de la Kabalah?, eso es perezoso, simplista y generalista.

Absolutely gorgeous!
I bought this book because I fell in love with the visuals while browsing it on the net… and the physical version has not disappointed me. The book is chock-full of beautiful photographs and illustrations, and is an entertaining voyage into the genre.
