Great Tool
I'm far from an expert and certainly not an experienced installer but I love this tool. For more years than I want to mention, dating back to my teenager ham operator days, I'd used the old crimp connectors and had gotten pretty good at it. Had to have my DirecTV dish moved a couple of years ago and watched the installer use a compression tool. First time I'd seen one and what were to me then the "new" connectors. Had one of those "blinding glimpses of the obvious" moments that compression fittings were a whole lot better and certainly faster than my old crimp connections. I'd read some reviews and recommendations and settled on this tool. I've been using it a lot around the house the last week or so moving some TVs and redoing some old crimp connections. Bottom line is that it works and works well.

The original, the best!
The original compression crimper for Augat/T&B/Belden SnapN'Seal connectors. Been around for way over a decade, probably closer to two! There are other, cheaper compression tools out there but they don't work well for long. This is my third tool. Why? Not because the other tools were broken or worn out. It's because it has consistently been the tool in my collection of tools that is the most stolen!

Works well
OK, I am use to using the old crimp method. I can honestly say this works much better. I am by no means a professional. I ran the coax in my house in a few different places. When I need to repair the end of a cable I now use this tool.

Expensive, but does the job.
Buy the Ultimate Snap-n-seal F connectors. Buy RG6 cable -- make sure the copper isn't just a shield and it's copper through and through. After cutting make sure the white insulation is flush with the inside lip of the F connector. You may have to twist and push the F connector into place to make the insulation flush. Don't just push, even The Hulk would need to twist sometimes. The copper should be level with the outside top of the F connector before you compress the F connector.Again, this tool is expensive. I think there are cheaper alternatives, but I didn't wish to chance anything, so I went with Thomas $ Betts.

and it was almost scary how easy it is to use
I had this tool awhile before using, and it was almost scary how easy it is to use.

Good tool, need to have color option selections
Its works good, just wish they had an option to specify the orange. Because it can be seen better on job sites. I really wanted the orange color.

it was made in the USA and it works just as good as a Thomas & Betts
The tool I relieved was not a Thomas & Betts. However, it was made in the USA and it works just as good as a Thomas & Betts, or better. I highly recommend this tool.
