I got this gate because my dog and the dog we're currently fostering haven't been getting along, and I needed a way to separate them at times without totally shutting one in another room or crating them. This is perfect. I was worried that it'd be too hard to set up, because I vaguely remember never being able to figure these out when I babysat. But it only took a few minutes. I agree with other people that it'd be a good idea to mark the correct notch (my door was 30 inches). Careful not to force the wood lever thing or it'll snap (this didn't happen to me, I could just see how it could happen). This was up in a few minutes and was very sturdy. The dogs are both labs, so I was afraid they'd simply jump over it, but they didn't! I just put one in the other room (with a clear sight-line to us), calmly locked the gate into place, said "stay here," and walked away. The foster dog didn't move at all. I will say that if you plan to have to cross this a lot, then I'd probably spring for the bolt-in ones that are a bit more permanent. This one would get annoying to step over all the time and/or to dismantle a lot. But if you're looking to use it sporadically or in an out-of-the-way room, I recommend this one! And you can't beat the price.

This gate requires common sense, not instructions. There is no sense in down-grading their rating for this reason. Why does toothpaste have instructions? People like you, who lack common sense and basic problem-solving skills. The height is better than the taller Evenflo model, because even at 5'4" it is still possible to step over the gate, even while holding a laundry basket. We've had this gate set up on the stairs (prior to setting up a permanent gate) and it is possible to step over the gate and down one step without issue. Bear in mind that the bottom corners must be placed above floor molding so that all four rubber nubs have equal pressure against the wall. Even with the added height, it is easy to step over. This is not the type of gate you want to unlock and replace every time you want to go by. We have permanently mounted gates in addition to these pressure gates since each gate has its own benefits. Permanently mounted gates are just that, you never intend to move them, just pass through. If you go this route, be prepared to use the screws they provide since they are not strong enough to hold back toddlers without the extra reinforcement. These pressure gates are for blocking off an open slider (the nubs fit into the slider so it is impossible to dislodge) or the kids' bedroom during play time. We also use them on the front door when we are looking for a cool breeze. After a few weeks you will notice that the metal leaves marks in the commonly used settings, so it is quicker to install over time.

Works great to keep the doggo out of an area

If I could give this zero stars, I would. This is a giant piece of garbage with plastic and metal attached. The wood is so dry it splinters and the pieces do not slide as intended. Push too hard, and it completely comes undone and does not slide back together. It worked for a single day before I undid it to move it, and it fell apart. Useless.

I bought three of these and am ordering two more today. These are WONDERFUL gates for my 3 pound MinPin puppy. That being said - I would NEVER trust these gates to use with children. They are not strong enough, secure enough, or made well enough to keep a child out of a room where they may get hurt. If you are buying a gate for your children PLEASE look into wall mounted gates - they are more expensive, but they are worth it. Better safe than sorry! If you are buying a gate for small dogs - buy this one! Great price, free shipping and they work great! I have different sized doors in my house and these gates are easy to use, easy to remove, and leave no marks. They are by no means a "high quality" gate, but they were just what I was looking for!

Really like this gate - it’s very light but seems sturdy so far. Would buy again! I am only leaning it against stairs but all parts came to connect it to the walls.

I bought 3 of these- 1 completely fell apart (pins bent/frame warped) when trying to mount- it also was off on the measurements as it did not fit where the other 2 gates did- the mounting squares for the cups are terrible. And the plastic mounting cups crack and break if you try to use screws since the mounting tape won’t work. (I’m using for cats but wouldn’t trust for a child, even with brackets). Also think it’s awful that the mounting bracket bag is jammed in between the frame and the net so you risk destroying the product to get the mounting materials.

The price was right and I used a similar one at an Airbnb with good success. It is easy to set up and I’m able to use it for both doorways AND to block off a section of my home I don’t want the toddler roaming into. It is stable, portable, and easy to move where I need it to. Alternatively, now my toddler has a new fun activity of throwing his toys over the gate.

This is our third baby gate we have purchased. One for each entryway to prevent our toddler from entering certain spaces. It works great and stays firmly in place. It’s a classic baby gate at a good price. It is a bit hard to click and unclick back into place but we leave ours up and don’t ever move it. We just climb over it every time. I wouldn’t recommend if you were going to be moving the gate multiple times a day as it is difficult to maneuver back in.

Si tuviera un bebé, definitivamente no la compraría porque es muy frágil y bajita. Yo la uso para mis perros y me funciona de maravilla.

Realmente este producto con mi perro que es de talla chica. Es muy firme y bastante facil de usar. No necesita instalaciones solo se coloca bajo presion entre paredes. Es una excelente compra del cual no me arrepiento. Ya tengo cerca de 6 meses con el producto y sin fallas.

La puerta cumple con el propósito y está bien construida, sin embargo la calidad de los acabados deja que desear. La madera no está cortada o lijada a la perfección, lo que deja espacios visibles entre las uniones y una textura gruesa; nada grave, pero podría ser mejor elaborado y terminado. El funcionamiento es un poco complicado para abrir y cerrar, comparado con otros sistemas disponibles en el mercado. Es una buena compra considerando el costo beneficio. Llegó a tiempo, en buenas condiciones y con buenas instrucciones.
