I had a few dull knives sitting around in my kitchen drawers so I decided to use this sharpening tool before hitting the store to get new blades and this thing brought them back to (cutting) LIFE! Very happy with this, I ran them all through the three stages (The Stone, Coarse and then fine) because they were so dull they were struggling even cutting some veggies and now they are so sharp I’m pretty confident I can use them again to cut anything. The foldable handle is great, saves storage space and very useful to hold it and keep your hand away from the blades as you sharpen them. I prefer manual sharpeners as you have more control to fine tune your sharpening. The price is great as well, I will definitely use it with all my Kitchen knives, I definitely recommend it!

It's "not stable enough;" however, It sharpens good. The sharpener constantly needs to be held down very hard while being mindful that it stays still. What's hilarious is that, after 8 months from the purchase, I've just found out that there is a "handle hidden" inside the sharpener, lol! While holding the sharpener "without a handle," there was no steadiness at all. But now, with a handle, the sharpener stays far more steadier (no wonder, lol), yet again, it's still not stable enough. On the contrary, Kitchen IQ 50883 Edge Grip 2-Stage Knife Sharpener, $5.99 is awesome - it's super steady, easy/comfortable to hold, and sharpens very well. First, because of its small size and price, I was skeptical about its performance; however, it turned out to be one of the best 2 sharpeners that I've had.

We've had the same knives for over 20 years and they have never been sharpened. I've always just honed them and they seemed to be okay. We are not chefs here! I immediately sharpened a couple of our knives which we use most of the time. I ran them through the coarse sharpening followed by the fine sharpening. My wife tried them out and thought they weren't as sharp as she expected. I tried sharpening them again and I honed them afterward. They seemed better the next time. I'm not sure I know what I'm doing, but, I feel lit is very easy to use and you can hold it down so it is quite steady when you sharpen. For me, the knives seem better after they are honed as well. I still want to experiment with using the sharpener in the hopes that I get better at it.

This knife sharpener is one of the best that I have had in a while. I normally buy them from may local store but I decided to try out this one. The ones that I buy at the local store do not last for very long. I have tried this out and it works wonderfully. I have sharpened just about every knife in my house. It has not even stated to dull. I live the handle that folds out. It makes it very easy to store.

It is no lie when I say that all of the knives I own are blunt and take A LOT of effort to cut through food, even soft foods like tomatoes. I was in need of a good quality knife sharpener, but didn't wanna empty out my wallet. This knife sharpener was a pleasant surprise! It exceeded my expectations because not only is it simple to use, it actually sharpens the bluntest knives to a nice sharp blade. It also greatly helps how it's small enough that it can go in a drawer and won't take up much space. I recommend this knife sharpener!

The sharpener works AMAZING.I had a full knife and started using the 'coarse' side and it made it sharp again and cut a folded two piece of paper with ease. The sharpener comes with a foldable handle which makes holding it easier than other ones I saw.Comes with a stone which I plan to use as a whetstone to fix other knives I have. It also comes with instructions on how to use the tool which is a bonus.Fully recommend!

This item actually does a better job at dulling knives than sharpening them. I thought it was my imagination but when I thought it was I took my sharpest knife and ran it through this device it dulled it to the point where it could only cut soft butter. This sharpener is a total failure for my many knives.
